Highly recommend this less than 20 mins podcast from Nature that talks about the stats/data, possible causes, and ongoing studies focusing on understanding why there is an increase in cancer in young adults. "Early onset cancers (occurring in those less than 50 years old) still accounts for only a fraction of the total cases, but the incidence rate has been growing. This rise, coupled with an increase in global population, means the number of deaths from early onset cancers has risen by nearly 28% from 1919-2019 worldwide." "Often early onset cancers affect the digestion system with some of the sharpest increases in colorectal, pancreatic, and stomach cancer." https://lnkd.in/gts-Spw2

Dr. Christopher Wallis believes that, when looking at the EMBARK population, at least 80-90% of patients would be PSMA-positive. In Episode 5, he continues on to say that “this just reinforces, I think, the importance of having that intensified systemic backbone for those patients who have the high-risk characteristics.” Listen or watch the full episode, “Biochemical Recurrence in Prostate Cancer”, wherever you find your favourite podcasts. Dr. Lalani and Dr. Wallis cover the recent EMBARK trial, multi-D care for patients, and what they think the #stateoftheunion is for BCR - and it’s a must watch if you’re in the field of prostate cancer. There’s so much information jam-packed into this 30-minute episode - it’s perfect to listen to on your drive to the hospital or clinic, or to keep you engaged and focused while you complete your paperwork: https://theviewongu.com #theviewongu #podcast #listennow #podcaster #cancer #gucancer #prostatecancer #kidneycancer #bladdercancer #gucancers #gutreatments #ADT #BCR #androgendeprivationtherapy Aly-Khan Lalani, MD, FRCPC

Have you—or a family member or friend--been diagnosed with cancer? I recently spoke with Tony Restell, Founder of https://hubs.ly/Q02tFN5p0, about my own experiences in overcoming a diagnosis in which I was told I had less than a 2% chance of survival back in 2012. In this episode of his podcast, he asked great questions about how the Stockdale Paradox helped in my battle, how the coaching principles I learned from Scaling up and Metronomics came into play when I was hospitalized for 7 months and how business leaders can learn from the experience. Watch the video. And if you are facing cancer or have recovered from it, I’d love to learn more about your experiences. Key words: Tony Restell, https://hubs.ly/Q02tFN5p0, Scaling up, Metronomics, cancer(?)
