A few days ago, we had the opportunity to participate in an inspiring webinar titled "Fashion before plus-size: bodies, bias, and the birth of an industry," led by the amazing Dr. Lauren Downing Peters (@fatfashionhistory on IG) and organized by The Feminist Lecture Program and Vagina Museum. The webinar provided us with unexpected insights into the history of plus-size clothing, as well as the emergence of weight bias in the fashion industry in the early 20th century. as well as its implications for the contemporary fashion world.
