As a former Paralegal, I love this article because it points out a few of the necessary skills to be successful in the role. One skill that might surprise you? Psychic Abilities. No, I'm not being dramatic...read for yourself - it's #5 on the list! If you are a paralegal, you likely already know that you are expected to mind read and psychically channel exactly what your assigned attorney may or may not say/do/think/feel. It's refreshing to see it finally written down for everyone to see. 😂 So, if you are a paralegal, (hey, friend!) that has strong intuition when it comes to anticipating needs, communicating with others, and knowing next steps ~ Don't be afraid to point that skill out the next time you apply for that job - it might just be the skill that sets you apart from the crowd! Recently, I saw a post from someone in the #ediscovery industry that made me shake my head and roll my eyes SO HARD. 🙄 There is literally nothing in this world that makes me more annoyed than someone who posts about the importance of mental health and better work environments when I know for a fact that they themselves are one of the people causing harm wherever they go.
