'Flight Friday - Jetting into the Weekend' this week features the General Dynamics F-16XL, one of 2 prototypes featuring a 'Cranked Arrow' Wing. With the F-16 Falcon, or 'Viper' as affectionately known by those that pilot these iconic aircraft celebrating its 50th year in the air, we felt it worthwhile featuring this superb example in an outstanding livery. Developed to compete in the United States Air Force Enhanced Tactical Fighter competition in 1981, the F-16XL was pitted against the McDonnell Douglas (Now Boeing) F-15 Strike Eagle. History bears witness the U.S Government chose wisely by procuring the F-15 Strike Eagle as the platform has proven it's worth in theatre and is loved by those who both fly and support it. Looking closely at the design, it's clear that there's more a passing resemblance to the Eurofighter Typhoon. Just add the following ingredients: Forward Canards & an additional engine! What do our followers think of the colour scheme? Image Source: Twitter (X) - Tempest Books / NASA - Photographer unknown. Broder Aerospace enjoy the capability to supply Ground Support Equipment via our partner GÖKSER AR-GE SAVUNMA HAVACILIK for both the F-16 and Eurofighter Typhoon, with Ground Power & Pre-conditioned Air in both Mobile & Pit Installed options. Boeing's recent plea deal with the U.S. Department of Justice over the multiple 737 Max crashes is expected to have significant implications beyond commercial aviation. Pentagon is assessing the agreement to determine its impact on Boeing's extensive government contracts, including those with the Department of Defense and NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration. With 37% of Boeing's revenue in 2023 coming from U.S. government contracts, this decision could reshape the aerospace giant's future. This scrutiny highlights the importance of regulatory compliance and risk management in securing and maintaining critical contracts. At Quantum Finserv, we specialize in guiding businesses through complex financial landscapes, ensuring adherence to regulations while optimizing growth opportunities in a sustainable and prudent manner. How about food reserves in space? Medical Supplies for emergencies in Space? How about Humanitarian aid in space? Why is every innovation aimed at the Military, arms, and weapons every time? Isn't there enough carnage we see every day? It's an excellent idea but should be used for Civil applications ONLY. Defense is a NONO. Please comment if you agree on #spaceforlife #spaceforhealth #spaceforhumanity

NASA and Lockheed Martin Skunk Works recently unveiled the X-59 experimental aircraft, designed and built to reduce a loud sonic boom, associated with faster-than-sound flight, to a quiet sonic thump. The X-59 now moves closer to its first flight. A step toward making commercial supersonic flight over land a reality for everyone. Researchers on NASA’s Quesst mission will work to understand people’s reactions to the X-59’s thump and give that data to regulators, who will then consider writing new sound-based rules to lift the ban on commercial supersonic flight over land. #military #defense #defence #aerospace #aviation #aircraft #aircrafts #airplane #airplanes #aviationlovers #militaryaviation #militaryaircraft #fighterjet #engineering #technology
