In light of recent reforms and the abolition of Section 21 notices, both landlords and tenants must stay informed on the changes affecting the eviction process. Here's a breakdown of what you need to know: Previously used by landlords to evict tenants without giving a reason, Section 21 notices have now been abolished to provide more security for tenants. With the changes to Section 21 notices, landlords will need to rely on other eviction procedures such as Section 8 notices, which require specific grounds for eviction. These reforms aim to protect tenants from unfair eviction and provide them more stability and security in their homes. Landlords will need to familiarise themselves with the new eviction procedures and ensure they are following the correct legal steps. Tenants can now feel more secure in their homes knowing they have greater protection against arbitrary evictions. Both landlords and tenants may face challenges during this transition period, so it's important to seek legal advice and understand your rights and responsibilities.
