🚀 Innovative Carbon Capture in Fujairah, UAE: Transforming CO2 into Rock: In a very interesting pilot project in #Fujairah, UAE, 44.01 and ADNOC Group successfully mineralized 10 tonnes of CO2 with local peridotite rock in under 100 days, using renewable energy from Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company). With a planned scale up, this carbon to rock technology aims to inject over 300 tonnes of CO2, showcasing its scalability to help #decarbonize the UAE and beyond. By harnessing Fujairah’s natural peridotite formations, this project could pave the way to eliminate billions of tonnes of CO2, aligning with ADNOC Group’s ambitious target of capturing 10 million tonnes of CO2 annually by 2030 which is equivalent to taking over 2 million cars off the road. NEOM Green Hydrogen Company is building the world’s largest green hydrogen plant at @NEOMOxagon in Saudi Arabia's northwestern region of NEOM, to produce green hydrogen at scale. Supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and leveraging the expertise of three market innovators, @ACWAPower, @airproducts, and @NEOM, this mega-plant will produce up to 600 tonnes per day of carbon-free hydrogen in the form of green ammonia. This is equivalent to fueling around 20,000 hydrogen-fueled buses, as a cost-effective solution for heavy Industry and transportation globally by 2026.
