🚀 Innovative Carbon Capture in Fujairah, UAE: Transforming CO2 into Rock: In a very interesting pilot project in #Fujairah, UAE, 44.01 and ADNOC Group successfully mineralized 10 tonnes of CO2 with local peridotite rock in under 100 days, using renewable energy from Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company). With a planned scale up, this carbon to rock technology aims to inject over 300 tonnes of CO2, showcasing its scalability to help #decarbonize the UAE and beyond. NEOM Green Hydrogen Company is building the world’s largest green hydrogen plant at @NEOMOxagon in Saudi Arabia's northwestern region of NEOM, to produce green hydrogen at scale. Supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and leveraging the expertise of three market innovators, @ACWAPower, @airproducts, and @NEOM, this mega-plant will produce up to 600 tonnes per day of carbon-free hydrogen in the form of green ammonia. This is equivalent to fueling around 20,000 hydrogen-fueled buses, as a cost-effective solution for heavy Industry and transportation globally by 2026. Once operational, the plant will save the planet up to 5 million tonnes of carbon dioxide per year.
