Martial Arts and or Combative Arts are not determined by techniques. Several factors to think about are;1) the instructor, their training background and practice, the interaction with student, the transmission of the lessons and the practicality of the techniques, flexibility of their instruction. 2) individual, their motivation and dedication to learn & practice, open minded. These two factors are not limited to the ideas presented but are important when it comes to choosing which system to train from. Other considerations are secondary such as practicality, simplicity of execution of techniques.
