Significance of the Concencrated Bread in David’s Journey 1 Samuel 21:1-6 NIV Click the podcast link in bio to listen to the full episode.   When God separated David from Saul and sent him away, he went to Nob ( land of the priests) and saw Ahimelech the priest. Ahimelech was afraid when he saw David, likely because he recognised David’s authority. As such, unusually, even when David asked for bread, he offered him the concentrated bread that was meant for the priests.   At that time BC, the consecrated bread signified God’s covenant with His people, the Israelites, that He would provide for them and be with them. This confirmation is exactly what David needed as he ventured into unknown territory. That God would indeed be with him and provide for him. Similar to Elijah being fed by an angel ahead of a huge journey. God will always make provision in the journey he has called us to, and he will never leave or forsake us.   𝙅𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙨 is a short clip intended to grow and equip us in our trust walk with God. The current focus is on life’s seasons. Life is in seasons - so it is important that we lean in and learn from the Holy Spirit. I am grateful that every episode is inspired by the Holy Spirit.
