Last year, I married my best friend Walter B., and did my own bridal makeup. Here are 7 things to know if you choose to do yours for your big day 💍 💒 🎯 Practice: I practiced my wedding makeup for months. It helped me build muscle memory and find my favorite products for a long-lasting look. 👀 Keep the eyes simple: A brown lid + smoked lash line + your favorite lashes will look just fine. Don't stress over the eyes, the face is much more important! ☁️ Set everything: Set every cream with a matching powder and a translucent powder - bronzer, blush, face - ALL OF IT. This will make your look more pigmented and last all day. 🧴 Skin prep: One word: hydration. Another word: spf. Use both! I had great results with NEOGEN SKIN snail mucin (it's my holy grail). 💧 Waterproof is your bestie: I know, I know. Waterproof isn't everyone's favorite, but for your big day, it's a must. 💄 Don't skimp on the full face: This is a FULL GLAM kind of day, so you need to be heavy-handed. This isn't the day to be dot dotting your makeup. If you're gonna wear it, PUT IT ON! 🤏🥺 Use travel sizes/minis: You'll have A LOT of stuff to pack. Do yourself a favor and use as many minis as you can to lighten the load.
