The Rainbow Health Board of Directors would like to thank our remaining staff, The Aliveness Project, and the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) for their swift action in transferring our former HIV care responsibilities to The Aliveness Project™. The Aliveness Project supports individuals living with or at risk of HIV through various transformative resources and direct services. These include food and nutrition support, case management, housing assistance, HIV testing, and support groups. Former Rainbow Health clients can contact The Aliveness Project by emailing [email protected] or visiting their website at aliveness.org. The Board and remaining staff continue to work on transferring LGBTQ+ services to appropriate groups.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed with the name change and gender marker processes? Save the next Name Change Clinic in our partnership with Family Tree Clinic in your calendar! Join us on July 19th for an informative session led by experienced lawyers who will guide you through the basics of filing for these changes. We'll walk you through the process step by step and make sure all your questions and concerns are addressed. Be there by 4:30 pm! This is FREE, and meeting in person. Just a heads up, masks are required to keep everyone safe. Also, if you're under 18, don't forget to bring along a parent or legal guardian as per legal requirements. The Name Change and Gender Marker Clinic will be held at Family Tree Clinic, located at 1919 Nicollet Ave in Minneapolis. FREE additional parking is available across the street at Plymouth Church. We can't wait to see you there!

When tireless advocates like Ash Tifa, our very own Legal Services Program Coordinator, and Annie Van Avery, Executive Director of Family Tree Clinic, get together with Noah Parrish, Gender Justice's Communications Director, to talk all things Gender-Affirming Care Act-related, it's easily a must-listen. Ash testified to the House and Senate this past legislative session to ensure that all insurance plans in Minnesota cover medically necessary gender-affirming care. Her work was instrumental in passing the Gender-Affirming Care Act this year and we couldn't be prouder of the impact this work has made on trans and non-binary people throughout the state.

🚨 Fundraiser Alert 🚨 Too few Minnesotans know about or can afford PrEP. Costs range from $1,300 to $2,400 monthly, plus doctor visits and tests. While insurance covers PrEP, those without insurance face a hefty cost. As a result, thousands who would benefit from PrEP aren’t getting the life-saving care they need. At Rainbow Health, Minnesota’s first HIV/AIDS nonprofit organization, we provide FREE access to PrEP, including doctor visits and HIV/STI testing. Last year, we issued 1,985 prescriptions.
