📚 Exciting New Module in My Fresh Meat Processing Learnership! 🚀 I'm thrilled to share that I'm moving on to the next module in my learnership at Crown Food Group, focusing on Mincing and Forming. This week's topics include: 🛡️ Monitoring Critical Control Points (CCPs): As an integral part of a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) system. 🔍 Quality Control Practices: Ensuring food and sensitive consumer product safety. 🧠 Problem-Solving Techniques: Applying these techniques to make decisions and solve real-life problems. These new skills will further enhance my ability to ensure product safety and quality in the food processing industry. Combined with my Diploma in Management Science: Operations, I’m eager to bring this knowledge to a dynamic team in an entry-level operations management role or internship. The Big Feedback with fries and Coke to go 🍔🍟 Whether a burger lover or a pizza fan, the feedback burger actually has little in common with food. 👉 It is a method of giving constructive feedback. Of course, as with any method, there are advantages and disadvantages. Our apprentices learned about both during the six-day so-called practical mile. But not only that. 🔹 Dominik: "You cannot not communicate, even if you're rather shy." 🔹 Sebastian: "Thanks to the playful tasks, we were able to put what we learned into practice right away and consolidate it." 🔹 Carmen: "We grew together as a team and became even better." 🔹 Floris: "We also learned how to deal better with our fellow human beings." Together with trainer Andrea Sulzer, they experienced the adventure of communication first hand and got to know the importance of teamwork and feedback culture, as well as a few things about themselves. 👀 At the final presentation, it was clear to see how much fun all of them had at the workshop. The timing, then, of an email/blog series by Counter Culture Coffee is 👌. Their fun illustrations and enticing copy make it easy to jump from my inbox to full posts like: Why do farmers grow different coffee varieties? What a year! I am thrilled to share that I have successfully finished my Master 2 GRH-PI at University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, as well as concluded my apprenticeship at Ankorstore. During this year, I was lucky enough to learn about HR Management, Labour Law (collective and individual), Payroll, Health & Safety and so much more! As I embark on a new work and academic one-year adventure, I wanted to share this graphic, taken from my end of studies paper. I analysed the quantitative links between different elements of a Compensations & Benefits policy and job satisfaction. In this particular question, I wanted to know what elements were seeing as being part of a package. Very few consider that their variable pay is part of their compensation. Work conditions and learning budget are also not really taken into consideration. Benefits, on the other hand… are very much top of mind! Why does this happen? I allowed myself to give some insight on this and more C&B related topics on my paper, but if this topic interests anyone I would love to have a chat with a coffee to discuss it further!
