Following the evolution of AI as a part of the digital transformation of our world is something I find fascinating in so many ways. This short article was thought provoking as it did a nice job of outlining some of the key questions that should be answered along the path to AI adoption and usage. Are we doing AI just because it's the hot new thing? Do we understand what we are really trying to accomplish within our digital transformation efforts with AI? Do we have the right data in the right structure to make AI work and achieve our vision? itel is working through all these questions and challenges like so much of the industry and business world. As we continue our experimentation with AI and generative search, we’re starting to gather clues about strategies for our clients. When you look at this prompt we entered into Perplexity, you’ll see it used our content as 4/5 of its sources for the answer. It could be that generative search will give people a summary and they’ll follow the sources back for further information. Think of an abstract or summary and then footnotes for “further reading”. Just fascinating to think we’re standing on the precipice of search changing forever.
