So, why aren’t HVACs enough for climate control in schools and university buildings? Many educational buildings are solely equipped with HVAC systems, and the air conditioning is often thought to be enough for climate control. However, while HVAC systems are designed to regulate temperature and air quality, they fall short when it comes to managing humidity. Relying on HVAC for dehumidification has a cascading effect that can lead to overworking these systems, requiring earlier maintenance or even replacement, driving up your electricity bill, and overcooling a space. Want to learn the best way to optimize your school’s HVAC and better climate control its spaces?
