"Nature" is a term that has entered the sustainability lexicon in full force, reflecting the push to expand sustainability strategies beyond climate initiatives. But a little less conversation and a little more action would enable the food and beverage industry to harness nature's full sustainability potential. The food and beverage industry contributes to nature degradation more than any other sector, while also relying heavily on its ecosystem services. While there's a lot to lose by ignoring nature, there's even more to gain by halting and reversing nature loss.
