I might be wrong, but aren't all these 'AI first devices' rather useless, considering we've already had an AI first device in our pockets for over a decade? It's 1,000,000 times more powefful, versatile and useful, with multimodal input and output, optimized for touch, movement, vision and speech, instead of just one clunky interface? And it's one we will always have with us in any case? I think a pin or a pendant might actually be useful in some use cases, but more as an always-on mic + camera peripheral to the smartphone, not its replacement.

Built upon a common pain point experienced by most smartphones — the lack of understanding and efficient task delegation with intelligent assistants — this sleek and intelligent device is poised to redefine how we interact with technology. The question remains: how long until smartphones elevate their AI assistant game? Even if a user possesses the Humane AI Pin or this Rabbit R1, they still need to connect to a phone to deploy various services. I find myself somewhat skeptical about the device due to its ease of use and specific use-case scenarios where the phone proves more practical — for instance, texting in a silent room. While this device undoubtedly introduces innovation, it has much to prove before we can confidently say that it truly makes a difference. #aiassistant #ai #technologyinnovation https://lnkd.in/gqU9cZ-i

I have been writing about AI Pin for quite some time. Here we go, it's officially launched. The future of personal computing and communication devices is to become 'invisible.' AI Pin is the beginning of this invisible technology. Humane™ #AiPin is the very first standalone device that has been built keeping AI in mind from scratch. Ai Pin marks the beginning of the end of the smartphone era?

Project Soli is a radar-based technology developed by Google that enables touchless interactions with devices by detecting precise gestures and movements. Soli uses a tiny radar chip to detect hand gestures with high precision, even down to sub-millimeter movements. The Pixel 4 smartphone, released in 2019, was the first commercially available device with Soli technology. It allowed users to control certain features with hand gestures, like skipping songs or silencing calls. There's been limited information about Project Soli in recent years. Google hasn't incorporated it into any new devices since the Pixel 4, and in 2021, they open-sourced an API related to Soli, which could indicate a shift from internal development to wider industry adoption. Google hasn't officially announced the project's end, but the lack of recent updates and open-sourcing the API suggests they might be focusing on different avenues for interaction with technology. Heard of Project Soli by Google? 🤔 It's a groundbreaking radar-based technology that allows touch-less interactions with devices through movement! ⌚️ Here's everything you need to know! ⤵️ Soli uses a tiny radar chip to detect your hand movements with incredible precision - we're talking sub-millimeter accuracy! Remember the Pixel 4? It was the first to showcase Soli in action back in 2019. Imagine skipping songs or silencing calls with just a wave of your hand! While updates have been sparse lately, Google took a big step in 2021 by open-sourcing an API related to Soli. This move hints at a potential shift towards wider industry adoption and innovation in gesture-based technology. #ProjectSoli #GoogleTech #Innovation #AI #VR #Robotics #Tech #Google

Back in the mid-1980s, AI was making waves, and people were fascinated by its potential impact on everyday life. The big hurdle? The technology was incredibly pricey—how pricey, you ask? $100,000 per user. Jump ahead 40 years, and now we've got AI right on our smartphones…for free! Want a better version? That'll coat you around $30 a month. Today, quantum computing is in a similar spot to AI in the 80s. Could we see quantum computing become as common as a mobile app in 40 years? Imagine the possibilities!
