The Defence Supply Chain Strategy (DSCS) outlines how Defence plans to build resilience within our Supply Chains.

The State Department has approved NATO’s request to purchase contractor logistics support services to help alliance members maintain and sustain their C-17 military transport aircraft fleet under a potential $150 million foreign military sale agreement. Boeing (NYSE: BA) will serve as the principal contractor on the proposed FMS deal that covers contractor logistics support for NATO’s C-17 Strategic Airlift Capability initiative, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said. NATO’s Support and Procurement Agency also requested related engineering, technical, logistics and program support services. DSCA noted that the transaction will enable the alliance to meet current and future threats by strengthening its strategic airlift capability. Hello #Everyone Today marks 25 years since the end of the Kargil War. Our soldiers fought bravely and won the war for us, but we lost 500 of our brave men. The Kargil War led to significant changes in the country. From increased defense budgets to advancing self-reliant weapon production, it heightened national awareness of our military needs. Post-war, the defense budget increased 8X times, highlighting the push for military modernization. Currently, India produces 2,920 out of 4,666 listed defense items and also started to increse the exports of these weapons and equipments. From being the biggest arms importer to being among the top 25 arms-exportor, we are closer to the goal of developing a defence industry in India. These advancements also reflect India’s strategic and commercial evolution, driving us toward a more self-reliant and robust defense sector. 🇶🇦🛫🌍 The #Qatar Emiri Air Force operates a fleet of C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft, which are notably painted in #Qatar #Airways livery. This unique approach allows these aircraft to land at civilian airports that impose restrictions on military aircraft, offering Qatar significant #flexibility in deploying its fleet across the globe. These C-17s are intended for a variety of #missions, including #humanitarian #aid, #disaster #relief, and #peacekeeping #operations. The C-17 Globemaster III is a versatile and powerful aircraft, capable of carrying up to 134 passengers, including 102 paratroopers, and is also equipped to transport a wide range of cargo. This includes up to 70 tonnes of equipment or a CH-47F Chinook helicopter. The aircraft has an operational range of 10,390 kilometers with paratroopers and can reach a ceiling of 45,000 feet while cruising at Mach 0.74 (approximately 829 km/h). Given its capacity and operational capabilities, the C-17 Globemaster III is poised to be a strategic asset for #Qatar in the #region. More than 100 armoured vehicles will be in made in Queensland for Germany in the largest defence export deal in Australia's history. The $1 billion agreement will secure 600 direct jobs in Queensland, with economic opportunity flowing right through the supply chain. The Boxer heavy weapon carrier vehicles will be made at Rheinmetall's Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence at Redbank in South-East Queensland using state-of-the-art technology and manufacturing processes.
