Quad Cities Community Foundation’s Post

We’re celebrating a love for sport and community. Craig A. “Corky” Kress grew up in Waterloo, Iowa, and always had a kind word, a story, or a joke to tell. The “memory-maker,” as described by his wife Sheryl, brought his vibrant personality with him to all his endeavors. Those included 37 years at John Deere and time on the board of directors of Work is America and the Quad City Area Labor Management. A family man, Corky’s wife, children, and grandchildren all remember him for his positive attitude and for the love he sprinkled on all who knew him. He continues to sprinkle that love even now. To honor Corky’s legacy and celebrate one of his favorite hobbies, Sheryl founded the Corky Kress Golf Scholarship, which was established to help high school golfers afford college as they play the greatest game.
