We all know that bronchoconstriction = shark fin waveforms. 🦈 Do you know why? We see this because the alveoli empty inconsistently (α), then air trapping increases, creating hypercapnia (β). α - alpha angle (affected by perfusion, airway resistance, V/Q status, and cardiac output) indicates the transition from phase II to phase III. β - beta angle (most affected by rebreathing) indicates a transition from phase III to phase 0. 𝗜𝗻 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹.

Cryoablation to pulmonary veins including ‘Left atrial roof vein’. My first time for cryo to this type of rare case. This also appears to be the first in the literature as treated with cryo. #epeeps #atrialfibrillation
