As Women's History Month comes to a close, I'm filled with gratitude for the incredible stories of resilience, innovation, and empowerment that have been shared over the past 31 days. Throughout this month, there has been a consistent theme weaving through the narratives: CONNECTIONS, COLLABORATION, and IMPACT. As I reflect on the past month, I am inspired by the countless stories of women forging connections, breaking barriers, and making a tangible impact in their communities and industries. Whether it's through mentorship, advocacy, or entrepreneurship, each action taken has contributed to the collective advancement of women everywhere. As we transition into Quarter 2, I am committed to carrying the momentum of Women's History Month forward. I believe that by continuing to foster meaningful connections, embracing collaboration, and striving for impact, we can create a future where every woman has the opportunity to thrive. Here's to celebrating HERstory not just in March, but every day of the year. Let's keep pushing boundaries, shattering glass ceilings, and building a more inclusive world for generations to come. #WomensHistoryMonth #HERstory #Collaboration #Impact #Quarter2Goals

The “sisterhood” is alive and well… Sort of… Recently, I was privileged to be a panelist at a Corporate Governance conference sponsored by Corporate Board Member magazine and Chief Executive Group. There I met “sisterhood champions” Sara Hennig and Sandy Moll. Based on my comments during the panel discussion – and unbeknownst to me - both women activated their networks, introducing me to persons they thought I should know. Persons with track records placing women on boards. I sit on a public company board and as it turns out, am seeking another board seat. I am grateful for their perfect timing and generosity. Women supporting women. We all know, however, that’s not always the case. It reminds me of when women who wanted my executive job embarked on a self-serving agenda to, as they put it, “take out the skinny girl from Harvard.” It was ugly. Women not supporting women is an open dirty secret. Still. I continue to hear stories from clients, colleagues, mentees, and friends about women keeping women down. It’s hard enough out there without us undermining each other. In 2024, let’s commit to be Saras and Sandys. To shift agendas to lift each other up. To celebrate each other’s successes. To make an unwavering commitment to the “sisterhood.” Women, are you in? #womenempoweringwomen #womensupportingwomen #womeninleadership #womeninbusiness

Happy Monday, everyone! As we walk into a new month filled with significance and empowerment, let's shine a light on two important observances close to our hearts: Women's History Month and Endometriosis Awareness Month. 🚺 Women's History Month: Throughout March, myObMD.org will honor the extraordinary achievements and contributions of women who have shaped history and transformed our world. From trailblazing scientists to fearless activists, women have been at the forefront of progress, inspiring us all to dream, achieve, and advocate for equality. Let's celebrate the resilience, strength, and leadership of women everywhere! 💛 Endometriosis Awareness Month: March is also a time to raise awareness about endometriosis, a complex and often misunderstood condition that affects millions of individuals worldwide. Endometriosis can cause chronic pain, infertility, and other debilitating symptoms, yet it remains underdiagnosed and undertreated. Let's unite to amplify the voices of those living with endometriosis, advocate for better understanding and support, and work towards improved care and research. What are your thoughts on Women's History Month and Endometriosis Awareness Month? How can we continue to support and empower women, both in healthcare and beyond? Let's connect and inspire each other to strive for progress and equality.

🌟 Empowering Reflection for Women's Month 🌟 It’s Thankful Thursday, and I’m diving into a powerful quote by Alice Walker: "The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any." These words resonate deeply, and I reflect on the strength and potential within all women. It's easy to underestimate our own power, to doubt our abilities, and to believe that we don't have what it takes to make a difference. But Walker's wisdom reminds us that our power lies not in external validation or recognition but within ourselves. 💪🏽 So, here's a challenge for you: Take a moment to reflect on a time when you felt powerless or doubted yourself. How did you overcome that feeling? What steps did you take to reclaim your power and confidence? 🧐 Share your reflections 🗣️ in the comments below and let's inspire one another with stories of resilience, determination, and empowerment. Your experiences may be just the encouragement someone else needs to tap into their own power and potential. Together, let's celebrate the strength and resilience of women everywhere. By sharing our stories and lifting each other up, we reaffirm that our power is limitless and our potential knows no bounds. 🚀 Join the conversation and let's empower each other to embrace our power, seize opportunities, and create positive change in our lives and communities.

March is Women's History Month, and it’s the perfect time to reflect on the remarkable women who are shaping our history. I'm sitting here thinking about the journey we've been on – the struggles, the triumphs, and those quiet moments of sheer willpower that have defined us. But this month, let's not just look back at the amazing women who've paved the way (though, hats off to them, seriously!). Let's also shine a light on all the dreamers, the doers, the everyday heroes who juggle a million things and still show up with passion in our hearts. I want to throw a challenge your way. Let's lift each other up. See a friend trying something new? Cheer her on. Know a colleague who's doubting her brilliance? Remind her how incredible she is. Let's make our spaces – work, home, online – arenas of encouragement, kindness, and empowerment. Remember, every big change starts with small steps. And who knows? The woman you inspire today might be the one making history tomorrow. To the phenomenal women of Staffmark Group and Indeed Flex, your expertise and commitment are at the center of our success. Together, we can break barriers and inspire one another to reach new heights. Let's make this Women's History Month not just about reflecting on the past but about shaping a future where every woman knows her worth and feels empowered to chase her dreams. #womenshistorymonth #workingtogether #liftothersandrise #empowerHER

As Women’s History Month 2024 comes to a close, I am grateful for the chance to reflect on the remarkable contributions of women both past and present. Often, we hear about a woman's success story, but seldom about the obstacles and setbacks that may have impeded progress. Women are extraordinary. They are powerful, compassionate, insightful, thought-provoking, results-oriented, and agents of change in both personal and professional realms. The journey to hone these qualities while achieving desired outcomes can be daunting. Why? Because all too often, there aren't enough opportunities to laugh, to enjoy the scent of flowers, to dance to great music, or to simply take a moment to exist. My admiration gravitates towards those whose words or actions have had a profound effect—Ida B. Wells, Toni Morrison, Shirley Chisolm, Patricia Harris, Constance Baker Motley, Catherine Johnson, Phillis Wheatley Peters, Mahalia Jackson, Harriet Tubman, among many others. To some, they may seem a disparate group, but to me, they are examples of courage, persistence, strength, character, the arts, motherhood, relationships, human rights, and justice. These women were the quiet forces who left legacies without seeking recognition, as well as pioneers who blazed trails with a fiery spirit, aiming to make a difference with every endeavor. As Women’s History Month draws to an end, let us: 1) Celebrate and uplift the incredible women around us 2) Recognize those who continue to make a significant impact, whether boldly or quietly 3) Support women, become allies for their growth, and contribute to reducing inequalities #Herstorycontinues

🌟 Honoring Women's History Month 🌟 As we celebrate Women's History Month, I'm reminded of the incredible strength and resilience that women embody every single day. We are survivors, warriors, and trailblazers, overcoming obstacles and breaking down barriers with unwavering determination. For me, survival isn't just about enduring; it's about thriving in the face of adversity. It's about turning challenges into opportunities, setbacks into comebacks, and pain into power. As a survivor of my own life's trials, I know firsthand the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of perseverance. But our journey doesn't end with our own triumphs. It's also about lifting each other up, advocating for those whose voices have been silenced, and fighting for a more equitable and just world for all women. This Women's History Month, let's celebrate the achievements of women past and present, honor the resilience of survivors everywhere, and recommit ourselves to the ongoing work of advocacy and empowerment. Together, we can create a brighter, more inclusive future for generations to come. 💪✨ Learn more about my story: loriprashkerthomas.com #WomensHistoryMonth #Survivor #Advocacy #Empowerment
