The competition is approaching! Our young creatives, Patricia Lopez and Guillaume Gaud are ready to represent the agency in the FILM category at the prestigious Young Lions festival.
Having only a few days to respond to the brief, their challenge is immense, but we believe in their talent and determination.
Good luck to our champions that are off to Cannes!

This time of year, the question is always, "Will you be at Cannes?"
For those not going, like me, the deep pangs of FOMO are kicking in, and although we currently have no reason to attend the festival, I want to be drinking warm beer outside the Petit Majestic and donning my best dress at 8am.
Instead, we are throwing it back to our previous visits and how our approach to Cannes Film Festival has changed over the years.

Climate Change Alert ๐ฆ
Votemo (Techstars '23) recently had a privilege to collaborate with the Blue Water Film Festival, helping them to define the most impactful films of the 2023 festival selection.
The Blue Water Film Festival has always been more than just a cinematic event; it carries a powerful mission to inspire attendees to think broadly about how climate change affects our beloved planet Earth. The festival strives to instill a sense of unity among people by promoting universal concerns and actions essential to bring us all into a state of balance.
The topic of climate change can be overwhelming. It's a complex issue that demands collective action and understanding. That's why the contribution of storytellers and filmmakers becomes incredibly significant. Through their creative storytelling and thought-provoking films, they help us grasp the complexities and urgency of climate change.
If you're interested to know what steps to take to better conserve our dear planet Earth, check out the list of award winning films from previous editions from here: https://lnkd.in/daGwJ-Te.
The ones from 2023 will be announced soon.
It was so exciting to gather with my colleagues and have two days to talk about Reconciliation. In particular, going beyond a high-level strategy and unpacking the practical ways that Nous and each individual can contribute to Reconciliation.
Together we discussed that for many Reconciliation is a personal journey, where in order to understand what changes you can make and how you can contribute you must first figure out where you are. My own takeaway is to challenge myself to embed a strengths-based lens in everything that I do.
In the spirit of learning and growing, I encourage you to think about what you could do within your life and your job to contribute to reconciliation, which of course means understanding what reconciliation means to you and where you are on your journey.
Last week on Thursday & Friday, more than 600 Nous Group staff (aka Nousers!) from across Australia came together at the Melbourne Convention Centre to learn, grow, build connections & become part of our future direction. To say the atmosphere was electric is an understatement! (Our London & Toronto crews get to have their own special Northern Hemisphere Nous Days ๐)
This year's theme was Reconciliation & we heard about all the impactful work we do with First Nations communities & heard about what Reconciliation means to a diverse group of Nousers, which importantly included some of our 13 First Nations Nousers - a group I'm humbled to call colleagues. Watching Connor Haddad and Taliah King on stage with so much insight & confidence was wonderful to see.
We also felt very privileged to have Tony Briggs (creator & writer of the Sapphires) in person, to present 5 short powerful films from the Birrarangga Film Festival (https://lnkd.in/gG_S8Hmx) which is one of the world's first indigenous film festivals.
Thank you Davina McArthur and Rodney Williams for hosting such a successful and valuable event & the whole team at Nous for making it happen. Love being part of a culture that celebrates learning from the past, being present & growing together into the future.
We are thrilled to present the first-ever AMVCA Impact Report, a momentous milestone in the world of African cinema and storytelling.
