The Dior show has attracted 126 million Chinese viewers in one day. It is interesting to put this number in perspective of the number of visitors in museums and to underline the importance of the digital dissemination According to ChatGPT , The total number of visitors to the top 100 art museums in 2023 was 141 million, which is double the number from the previous year and nearly three times that of 2020. However, this figure is still below the pre-pandemic high of 230 million visits in 2019. Some notable statistics include the Louvre in Paris receiving 7.7 million visitors in 2022, down only 20% from 2019, and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC welcoming 3.8 million visitors in 2023 .French museums reported record attendance in 2023, with the Louvre leading with 8.9 million visitors, aiming to maintain a daily visitor mark of 30,000 in 2024 Sources https://lnkd.in/gGX3YteX https://lnkd.in/gmFBVzdn

Art Basel has announced a new fair in Paris, set to begin in October 2022, which will replace the existing FIAC (Foire Internationale d’Art Contemporain). Although this fair is a recent development and is building its own history, here are some interesting anticipatory facts related to Art Basel's expansion into Paris: 1. **Paris as a New Hub**: By choosing Paris as its new location, Art Basel is looking to tap into the city's rich artistic heritage, its vibrant contemporary art scene, and its central position in the European art market. 2. **Rebranding an Established Fair**: Art Basel Paris is not starting from scratch but is building upon the legacy of the FIAC, which has been an important part of the Parisian and international art scene for several decades. 3. **Timing**: The fair's timing in October strategically places it in the art world's busy autumn season, which includes major auctions and other art fairs, offering synergy for international collectors and galleries. 4. **Diversity of Offerings**: Although details were initially scarce, Art Basel Paris is expected to continue Art Basel's tradition of showcasing a wide range of works, including paintings, sculptures, installations, photography, and digital art. 5. **Economic Impact**: Art fairs like Art Basel typically generate significant economic activity, not just for the art market but also for the host city, benefiting hotels, restaurants, and other businesses. 6. **Art and Technology**: Given Paris's current push towards becoming a European tech hub, there is the potential for Art Basel Paris to become a significant platform for the intersection of art and technology. 7. **Cultural Enrichment**: With Paris's already established cultural landscape, Art Basel's arrival is expected to further enrich the city's cultural offerings and draw an even more international crowd to its art scene. As Art Basel Paris unfolds and grows, it will surely generate its own unique set of facts and stories that will contribute to the rich tapestry of the global art community.

How Is Fine Art Transported By Air? Air transportation is the fastest way to deliver art worldwide but is also the most expensive. This is because transporting artwork is delicate and requires careful planning to protect it. While many art enthusiasts enjoy visiting galleries, they may not know the intricacies of transporting artworks to their exhibition locations. Several unique challenges must be addressed to maintain the artwork's perfect condition during transit. So, the question arises – what are these challenges, and how do operators ensure fine art's safe and secure movement? Cinema how far are we from Cinema Vérité and where is cinema really going? I wonder 🤔 more and more as AI and VR and everything is changing we seem to want more and more reality shows it films still with some Fictional films and Entertainment on the side but people are consuming a huge amount of Reality Shows and TikTok is in fact a live reality show never ending for any subject or type of interesting subject you may have. Maybe that is the algorithm, there is none but matching those that like something with those producing it, content creators that are successful are matching their creations to the subject matters people like and TikTok is amplifying it by pushing the promotional algorithms to emphasize the content that generally generate the most views so they can target and analyze people data with advertising and monetize it. So besides political spying, and I think everyone does that (I have no point of view on that), for pure capitalist gain or monetary gain if people choose to be brain washed by watching whatever they like it is their choices. So I think it is the genius of TikTok to have understood that and delivered it somehow. But since I also know that they censored several of my contents and other creators Contents I believe that this is not allowed in a free speech country and that it is maybe their Chinese creator that are controlling the data and content flow. Either way Creators.have to find multiple channels to deliver their contents and it is very complex for viewers and consumers to really get what they want still. I believe there is still room for better customization and for some reason I do not believe AI will deliver it or for that matter any platform will unless they are built differently. Google, YouTube, Facebook, Amazon, Yahoo, Twitter Instagram and all Social Media are still searching for that perfect solution. I am curious to find out what viewers and creators could come up with in an unbiased environment where you could have total freedom of consumption or creation of content with the ability to access everything and having your custom algorithm choose 99 percent of what you like without any bias at all. I do not believe that that world exists yet, even with the promises of Crypto and the Blockchain, there is not really a complete decentralized system. I guess what we can hope for is to get closer than we are now without losing our humanity or being robbed of it by AI or big data companies seeking to make money off of us and control us. So as Cinema Vérité started as a pure experience it has become what? that is my question??? Kurosawa's success or the height of Cinema Vérité was long ago and what we have now is far from being true Cinema Vérité. I call my cinema "Real or Reel Cinema" I guess you will have to experience it when it comes out It has not been released yet unless you are one of the few I shared part of my ideas. But I have explained the documentary film process but never Real Cinema.

Despite a 3% decline in sales, the art dealer sector navigated 2023 with resilience, facing political and economic challenges. Smaller dealers thrived with an 11% turnover increase, while larger dealers saw a 7% decline. In-person sales accounted for 44% of transactions, highlighting a shift back to direct gallery sales. Representation of female artists rose to 40%, and the average number of represented artists increased significantly. However, rising costs and variable demand affected profitability, with only 29% of dealers reporting increased profits. The art fair landscape also showed signs of recovery with 359 fairs held in 2023. #ArtDealers #ArtMarket #ArtSales #ArtIndustry #Artists #FemaleArtists #ArtRepresentation #ArtFairs #GallerySales #ArtMarketTrends #ArtBusiness #ArtInvestment #DealerSector #ArtWorld #ArtMarketInsights #ArtTrends #ArtBaselReport
