The Databricks Community events are always so much fun!! 🎉 The Databricks Data Intelligence platform is iterating fast and its hard to keep up. Interesting feedback I received from a customer this week was that sessions like these and those at Data and AI Summit where other clients are asking questions are the most useful. Hearing how your peers are using Databricks is inspiring and lets you plan for future innovation. On the flip side, hearing where they have got stuck and what the solution was means you can accelerate. The opportunity from Data and AI is huge but there is no getting away from the fact that getting high value returns from production use cases is hard. 👥 Collaboration and discussion is key. This is why so many Databricks Communities are springing up - London, Newcastle, Manchester, Cardiff, Dublin. Get involved! On of the things that's been really powerful today is to be in a meeting, and to discover that because I spend so much time helping others with their social media, I also know what they have going on. I was able to sign-post people to projects, ideas, and possible collaboration all because they had drifted across my social media senses, or tagged AVOW in the things that they were doing. With a bit of luck, we were able to pull together expertise covering elements of ageing well, of social prescribing, of befriending, of community hubs, and volunteering information. These things can make a real, joined-up difference to the lives of people. It's THE reason to do Social Media in the 3rd Sector. You don't just do communication - you make a difference too.

This year will be a year like no other. Ongoing shifts across all aspects of society will continue and ramp up towards year-end and into 2025.
