I have worked for more than 10 years for the healthcare industry and always wondered why people were hating pharma so much ? This is probably the industry that has saved the most number of lives. It is said that one out of two child beeing born nowadays will live more than 100 years old. This is definetly due to #medical #innovation as a whole. This is also very true that the #patient must be at the center of all things but they have never been considered by the pharmaceutical industry. They cure disease, they do not treat patient, which is the paradigm that needs to change. Of course this is easy to understand as pharma companies are BtoPtoPtoP companies, especially in Europe. Business to Payers to Practionners to Patients. Patient is at the far end of their value chain. You always ear in pharma : "We cannot talk to patient". It is such a burden for them to close the gap between business and patient. All other indsutries are allowed to talk to their customers. To improve Pharma / Patient relationship we should definetly start by openning the conversations and work together on the common goal that both are sharing : "Living better lives" !
