🎉BIG NEWS! We are super proud to announce that we are now #BCorp Certified! Way back in 2000, when Firefish was founded, it was on the belief that a business should be about more than doing the work and cashing the cheques; it should support and contribute to the lives of all it touches as much as possible. Part of this has always focused on the importance of doing more for the planet, with us gaining our ISO14001 Environmental Management certification in 2009, which we still maintain to this day. In 2023, we went further, creating our own framework, Firefish Plus, that brought together all of our values, beliefs and purpose across the businesses. Central to the principle of #FirefishPlus is that business should do more than just make money – that we should have a positive impact wherever we can and that is when we started our B Corp journey with B Lab - the network transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet. With this certification we are now part of a community of 8,900 businesses globally who have certified as B Corps, including well-known brands such as Ben & Jerry's, The Guardian , innocent drinks, Allbirds, Finisterre, and Warby Parker. You can find more B Corp-certified businesses over at the B Corp website...and you can read more about our journey as well as see our latest Impact Report on our website: https://lnkd.in/ewThBJdC #mrx #marketresearch #humanbrands #peopleplanetprofit #forceforgood #netpositive

Earlier this week, I had the privilege of attending the groundbreaking of RSA Cold Chain’s new facility in Jafza. It was a milestone that I’m excited about not only because it will bring needed cold storage solutions to the market, but because it is a tangible step towards tackling the issue of food security. Between 30-40% of food produced goes to waste before it ever reaches consumers, according to the UN FAO, and maintaining the integrity of the cold chain in global logistics is vital if we want to bring that number down. This new facility, with its advanced solutions, is moving us one step further to a more food secure world. Recent projections show that the global cold chain market will reach USD 740 billion by 2029 as demand for fresh produce, dairy and frozen food continues to increase. By investing in such facilities, we can play a part in ensuring that more people have access to safe, nutritious food, and less of it goes to waste. Great job Abhishek Shah, Richard Winnall and Brent Melvin and I look forward to continuing to strengthen the partnership between DP World, Americold Logistics, LLC. and RSA Global. #coldchain #foodsecurity #DPWorld #RSAColdChain #RSAGlobal #Americold

Are you a professional or provider working in anti-hunger policy, food access, or food justice? Are you looking to better serve communities that are part of the Global Majority? Register for the Embody Lib Live Webinar: “Weight Inclusive Food Justice: What the Movement is Missing, How it Holds People of the Global Majority Back, and How to Do Better” on April 16th at 3:30 PM ET You will gain insight into how the food justice movement, rooted in Black liberation, has evolved to promote supremacist thinking and colonialist ideology. You will learn how bodies and food can be used to uphold systems of oppression, including how social identities and their proximity to systemic power shape these beliefs. After expanding on the various pillars of food justice, Patrilie, the session facilitator, will guide session participants through a historical timeline, starting with the emergence of food insecurity in America into the public eye during the Civil Rights movement, ending with specific examples of how weight bias and anti-fatness interfere with working towards inclusive food justice. Why are communities with low food access consistently shamed for their food choices or bodies? Why are they further penalized when the limited food choices they do have are already more expensive and lower quality? From saying their body size is the main reason why health disparities exist to charging them more for beverages to limiting what types of foods they can buy on SNAP (Supplemental Food Assistance Program), we play a part in their oppression instead of being there to help them thrive. See below for a webinar opportunity to help make your food justice efforts more inclusive of all bodies.

#Foodforthought #FOODFIGHT👊 ASKING FOR A FRIEND… Do you like to eat food regularly? Do you think it’s a coincidence food shortages, supply chain, economy, farming issues, chemical spills & Chem trails, overreach and control, are all happening globally? If we know we are going into food shortage with food insecurity in America and continue to have open boarders continuously adding tens of thousands immigrants /refugees daily thereby increasing stress on supply and ultimately taking away once again from the American people? Do you see Germany farming protests and understand it’s coming to a theater near you? How does controlled “politricks” shut down an Amish farm in PA they are not regulated by and why? How does China & Gates own the majority of US farmlands???? While simultaneously Gates owns one of the WORLDS largest chemical, pesticides (APEEL) and water treatment companies; is majority stakeholder with decision making control with Pharma who make vaccines and head CDC, NIH, WHO and also has patent ownership on Covid 19 virus & vax who’s transparent global mission and platform is depopulation via pandemic 😳 Why does regulatory control require IPM, pest management-food safety controls …to keep insects/bugs/toxins & chemicals out of food but … approves as ingredients IN food? How is organic control efficacious with GMOs and chem trails and toxic waterways? If you like to engage and want to keep eating food, let’s discuss how we can individually and collectively be the change we wish to see. HELP! stop the madness but for God sake… for food sake …. Don’t just look away and expect to continue to have food freedom. I don’t know about you but I like cream in my coffee and steak off the grill not a printer! #foodforthought #wheresthebeef? #freedomfoodwaterworld #globalconciousness #foodunity #GLOBALFOODFIGHT
