The last speech in the "Strategic Networking" training path has now been given, the path is completed thanks to Toastmasters Paderborn Die Klartexter. Many different speeches and insights, but what does Toastmasters actually mean in everyday life? An example from last week: First call to a customer, no contact so far: "Sorry, I only have five minutes until the next appointment". Five minutes? A big opportunity for a Toastmaster.  At every meeting, you train so-called table topics, i.e. you are given a keyword, 30 seconds of preparation and talk about the topic in a structured way for 1-2 minutes. In this case, a five-minute opportunity. Luxury. The result: having fun with the customer and a follow-up appointment with an hour, structure, etc. There are many examples of added value, the greatest of which is sustainability through ongoing training and feedback. Here's a simple guide to help you get there effortlessly! 🔍 🖥️ Log in to toastmasters.org: Visit the official Toastmasters website and log in with your credentials. 👤 Access Your Profile: Once logged in, click on your name at the top of the screen. This will lead you to your personal profile. 🚀 Go to Base Camp: Look for the blue "Go to Base Camp" tile on your profile page. Click on it to proceed. 🏰 Select Your Club: After clicking the tile, you'll be prompted to choose your club. The Club Environment – so Important!   There are Toastmaster Clubs…and there are Toastmasters Clubs. The type you belong to – the quality of that club – particularly when you’re first starting out, can make all the difference to your future success as a speaker. Best, then, if you can, is to select a ‘High Quality’ Club whose records show it to be just that.   That said, such a club must be sensed as having a friendly, gregarious, and supportive membership. This, too, is essential…or otherwise you will not stay.   Be selective then. It really is worth the effort to ‘look around’ (if there are a number of clubs to choose from) to pick the one that will help you most in your aims to be the best speaker you can be.
