CEO/Managing Partner at De La Hoz, Perez & Barbeito, PLLC | IPA Top 400 | SFBJ 16th Largest Accounting Firm | AT Best Firms to Work For🚀
Above anything else, as a firm, I believe that the talent you have makes a huge difference. (And I’m proud to say, at DPB, we have the BEST talent!) Think of this through the lens of the greatest sports teams of all time. What do they all have in common? Talented individuals with a deep desire to win. Let’s face it, in our business, talent wins! It’s just a fact. Yes, you need other attributes but to really be successful, you need to have the most talented people with "fire in their belly.” This means having people on your team who work hard and strive for more. Do you know why the Yankees won those championships in the late '90s/early 2000s? Because they had a ton of Hall of Famers playing together. Sure, they had great strategy and their coaching staff was also top-notch, but the overwhelming talent carried them to greatness as a team. I feel this way about our team at the firm. We may not be the biggest firm but we absolutely have the best talent. Each of us is committed to the firm and our clients. But, it’s the amazing talent and team members that we have who make all the difference. What sets your firm apart? #leadership #accountingandaccountants #smallbusiness #business #success

Last week, I took part in a panel discussion about Intersectional Realities as a leader in Tech mobile.de It was amazing to see such a diverse crowd, filled with allies and diverse leaders and talents in tech. We had an open conversation about the struggles you can face if more than one diversity dimension creates an invisible barrier for you in your career. It was great to talk with you on stage, Vlore Krug & Andrea Romero Ortega, and learn about your journeys. Some key takeaways we had: 💡 It is important to have safer spaces in your work environment; places where people who are part of minority groups can talk about their careers and challenges. 💡 We should think about our own privileges; everyone has them. This way, we can learn to change our personal perspective and perception of others. 💡 In order to create an inclusive environment for everyone at work, we have to understand that we are all within the structures of our society. We should not only focus on attracting diverse talents but also understand that how we evaluate talents needs to become more diverse as well.

What a celebration it was! It's been a long journey, and I'm confident that there's even more to come. Let's embrace our intersections and shine brightly with them! Thank you to one of my best friends and brilliant professional, Marilyn Nowacka, for nominating me and encouraging me to join mobile.de Austin Fraser

In the world of sports, few have influenced the game's regulations as significantly as Wilt Chamberlain. His unprecedented dominance led the NBA to adjust the rules, widening the lane from 12 to 16 feet and instituting offensive goaltending, showcasing the impact one individual can have on an industry's standards. A testament to innovation and adaptation. #SportsIndustry #Leadership #Innovation
