It's been an inspiring week for me after attending the Female Leadership Conference hosted by Jo Beames. The roundtable discussion was attended by some of the most influential and inspiring women in the industry. As we wrap up the week, I wanted to share some key takeaways from the conference. ❤️🙏 1- Firstly, it's important to remember that you don't have to go it alone. Connecting with like-minded individuals in your industry can do wonders for your mindset and wellbeing. It's always valuable to have a support system that understands the challenges you face. 2- Secondly, mentors are an invaluable resource. Bringing together knowledge and experience from all backgrounds can help you grow both personally and professionally. Having a tribe of mentors can help you reach new heights and achieve your goals. 3- Lastly, it's essential to support and elevate one another. In competitive environments, it can be easy to forget the power of collaboration and uplifting those around you. By supporting deserving individuals, we can create a culture of growth and success for all. Let's continue to empower each other and strive for greatness together. Last week, I had the privilege of attending the Australian Women’s Leadership Symposium in Sydney. What an impressive line-up of speakers and role models who generously shared their journeys to leadership and how they have been navigating challenges along the way. Here are my key takeaways:   1️⃣ Events like these are crucial; they provide inspiration, networking opportunities, and the assurance that someone, somewhere has dealt with what you are dealing with right now and has valuable insights you can learn from. 2️⃣ We need others to show us what is possible and inspire us to dream bigger. 3️⃣ Most women have supporters, but what most are missing is people in their close circle who can challenge them to aspire for more. 4️⃣ It is important to embrace diversity beyond gender. To truly innovate and lead, we must include diverse perspectives across all dimensions. 5️⃣ Get a mentor and an executive sponsor. Find both, Find them early! The Pipeline’s Leaderhsip Summitt and Summitte for Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority Women are two of the most successful programmes in getting women promoted, on the market. With over 40% being promoted in 6 month of the 3 day programme and 48% for Balck, Asian and Ethnic Minority women. The only question is why aren’t you using this to creat sustainable pipelines to executive leadership roles in your company? Companies have no problem recruiting women they just done promote them above middle management in any where enough numbers. What’s stopping you?
