Didn't even know there was a National Financial Awareness Day but good to celebrate that we should all be financial aware! In my view the more knowledge/awareness you have the less likely you are to make mistakes with your finances. #financialawareness #charteredfinancialplanner
FINANCIALLY AWARE: This National Financial Awareness Day, a special shout-out to our enTWine members who are involved in the finance sector and support their clients to understand their finances a little better. Among those is enTWine co-founder Lynne Gadsden FPFS from Eight Wealth Management Tunbridge Wells. Not long ago, Lynne and her husband, Michael, joined the well-established St. James’s Place Practice, Eight, having run their own practice for many years. "This partnership offers a wealth of benefits for our clients, including a comprehensive support infrastructure and access to specialist advice," says Lynne. "We are thrilled to be part of a bigger team and to operate on an even larger scale. They are very much a family business, caring for their clients, so it is a perfect match to merge our family business with theirs.” Eight Wealth Management is an Appointed Representative of and represents only St. James's Place Wealth Management plc (which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority) for the purpose of advising solely on the group's wealth management products and services, more details of which are set out on the group's website www.sjp.co.uk/products. Eight Wealth Management is a trading name of Eight Wealth Management Limited. #tunbridgewells #welistenwesharewebenefit #nationalfinancialawarenessday #financialawarenessday #financialawareness

Meet Marc Fancy: Gathering Captains of the Finance Industry; on the Brink of a New Era There are those who follow the well-worn paths, and then there are the trailblazers who dare to forge new routes. Marc Fancy, the driving force behind Carrick Catalyst | Alliance, is undoubtedly the latter. With over two decades of experience across three continents, Marc isn't just a wealth management expert – he's a #catalyst, transforming the very essence of financial advisory in Africa. Imagine a world where financial services aren't just reactive, but proactive; where technology and human expertise work together instead of fighting each other; where the needs of high-net-worth individuals are not just met, but anticipated. This is the world Marc Fancy is crafting, one innovative idea at a time. "If it's working, disrupt it," Marc often says, his eyes alight with the fire of possibility. It's this philosophy that has birthed Carrick Catalyst – not just a company, but a movement. A bold reimagining of what wealth management can be in the 21st century. But Marc's vision extends far beyond balance sheets and profit margins. He sees Carrick Catalyst as a catalyst for change in Africa – a continent brimming with potential, yet often overlooked in the global financial narrative. Through his leadership, we're not just building a business; we're nurturing dreams, we're safeguarding legacies, we're empowering a new generation of African prosperity. In a world that often prioritises short-term gains, Marc Fancy stands as a beacon for long-term transformation. He challenges us to look beyond the horizon, to see the ripple effects of our actions today on the Africa of tomorrow. To work with Marc is to be part of something greater than oneself. It's to be at the forefront of a financial #revolution, where integrity meets innovation, where tradition embraces disruption, and where every client interaction has the potential to change a life. As we stand on the cusp of a new era in African finance, one question remains: Will you join us in reshaping the future? Connect with Marc Fancy and the Carrick Catalyst team. Be part of the change. I lead a team that helps foundations, government, and corporations strategically prioritize Black and Brown leadership to redistribute money, accelerate impact, increase profitability, and deepen mission fulfillment.
Yes! BIPoC-led businesses are the backbone of the global economy. (Exclude the talent and expertise of the global majority at your own peril.) How extraordinary to witness transformation in action during this co-creative process with Wells Fargo. 👏🏽 It’s regenerating and rewarding to work with purpose-centered leaders who do not waiver on their values of equity and justice. 👏🏽 It’s reassuring when they recruit and enroll high-ranking leaders behind them. 👏🏽 It’s remarkable when this happens in major corporate settings, especially after watching the money (and commitments) dry up after the overdue racial reckoning of 2020. We are indeed looking forward to the next convening. #EconomicMobility #SmallBusiness #GlobalMajority #CorporatePhilanthropy
We are honored to be Wells Fargo’s national convening and evaluation partner for the Open For Business Fund: Asset Building Program, a $100 million investment in diverse-owned small businesses who were disproportionately affected by the pandemic. Recently in Miami, FL, we facilitated the third of five convenings to bring together representatives from regional organizations that serve as program intermediaries. These gatherings are part of a learning cohort model to: ✔️ build collective expertise and synthesize learnings across markets ✔️ share successes and realities while dreaming up how to transform existing systems of support to be more easily navigated by small business owners ✔️ visit brick and mortar businesses (including TEEN UP-WARD BOUND INC, Juice Defined, and Experience Aviation) to learn about the local program’s impact in the community Thank you Wells Fargo for “putting your money where your mouth is” and investing deeply in Black, Brown, and Indigenous economic mobility. Our team members Jeremy Arnold, Keesha L. Coleman, MPA, LSS, CPC, Horace Duffy, Macaire Eidson, M.Ed, NBCT, and Reagan Williams are already looking forward to the next convening. Meeting the small business owners and hearing their stories is always an incredible experience - not to mention the delicious food catered by several small business vendors! #Grantmaking #SmallBusiness #BIPOCentrepreneur #Facilitation #Evaluation

The eighth guiding principle for successful inter-generational wealth transfer is about preserving the dignity of founding generations when facilitating power transfer to successors. Ways that founders are honored include shareholders agreements with fair exit terms, and via the disbursement policy in the family’s trust deed. That’s the eighth of 18 guiding principles that family office management veteran Alvin Yap will dive into at our masterclass on Family Wealth Preservation & Business Succession. #familyoffice #financialplanning #FamilyLegacy #WealthPreservation #trusts
