Resume, Cover Letter & LinkedIn Specialist ◆ Top 100 Women in the Energy Transition ◆ Top 15 LinkedIn Experts in Houston ➤ I help senior and executive-level Oil, Gas & Energy professionals optimize profiles and level up!
If you specialize in oil and gas asset management, then you need to keep these two things in mind when searching for a new job: 1) Numbers speak louder than words. Especially if you're interested in working for private equity firms, data will speak volumes when it comes to showing - rather than just telling - what sets you apart from the competition. And you WILL need to stand apart from the competition since this line is work is so competitive. Focus on quantifying ROI and break down your M&A project experience. 2) Your titles will be wonky. It will be rare for you to see a job title that's right on the nose and has 'asset management' in the title. Instead, many of your ideal titles may look like this: Senior Associate, M&A Director of Business Development Commercial Advisor Senior Manager, Strategy & Planning Typically, technical production and reservoir skills are mixed in as well. Have you run into this issue in your job search? I'd love to hear your thoughts! #oilgas #oilandgas #petroleum #jobseekers #energystrong

bp is reimagining hard-heartedness towards pensioners, pivoting away from promises made for decades. No amount of greenwash can compensate for the pain it has inflicted on bp pensioners and the communities they live in, who are now £180,000,000 a year worse off. If its own pensioners can’t rely on the promises it made, how can current employees, customers, partners, suppliers and regulators? Want to know more? Link in 1st comment. #BPpensions #BrokenPromises #BeyondParsimony #BarefacedPerfidy #BlatantPietism
bp is reimagining energy for people and our planet, enabling us to pivot from being an international oil company to an integrated energy company by transforming bp to deliver secure, affordable, lower carbon energy. The bp Projects Organization delivers all bp’s medium- to large-scale projects. The Global Concept Development and New Energy Teams support project identification and deliver the front end of these new energy and resilient hydrocarbon projects, which requires making or recommending critical business and technical decisions when the outcome is uncertain. Decision Quality (DQ) provides a robust framework to improve decision making under uncertainty. Elements of the framework are currently applied within bp, but there is a desire to improve the uptake and rigor of DQ within the Projects Organization and related functions through full application of Decision Analysis. The Decision Quality Analyst will be expected to support decision making as well as assist in nurturing the growing interest in the DQ/DA framework through consulting, coaching, training, and building a track record of success. The position will require the ability to influence as well as a willingness to engage in "hands on” work. Resume, Cover Letter & LinkedIn Specialist ◆ Top 100 Women in the Energy Transition ◆ Top 15 LinkedIn Experts in Houston ➤ I help senior and executive-level Oil, Gas & Energy professionals optimize profiles and level up!
Asset management is a core part of what we do in Oil & Gas. In general, asset management involves managing physical assets (like wells, pipelines, and facilities) to maximize their value and efficiency while minimizing operational costs and risks. Asset management roles require a mix of technical knowledge, strategic planning, and operational management to ensure that assets deliver the best possible value over their lifecycle. But what types of skills are required for asset management jobs? Here are 3 you'll want to consider listing on your resume: ► Financial Acumen: Understanding the financial aspects of asset management is crucial. This includes budgeting, financial modeling, cost management, and economic evaluation. You will need to analyze financial data to make informed decisions about investments, operations, and maintenance to maximize returns and reduce costs. ► Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of the oil & gas operations, including exploration, production, and the technical aspects of the facilities and equipment used, is essential. This expertise helps in making decisions that enhance asset performance, ensure safety, and comply with regulatory standards. ► Strategic Planning and Analysis: Asset managers in the oil & gas industry need to be able to develop and implement strategies for long-term asset optimization. This includes planning for asset development, conducting risk assessments, and making contingency plans. Analytical skills are vital for evaluating potential opportunities and threats, and for navigating the often complex and dynamic nature of the oil & gas market. Which skills would you add? #oilgas #oilandgas #oilandgasindustry #engineering #petroleum #energy
