If you heard my interview last week with @Acosta, you heard me mention how few school shootings there actually are in my response to JD Vance saying that they are a fact of life. In fact, my daughter died in a school shooting and so I understand how they are a fact of life for me and others actually impacted. However, and the key point is, they are not a fact of life that we need to accept or prescribe the wrong solutions to. The facts are that while the numbers have jumped since 2018, out of 115,000 schools they are still under 500 per year. It is also a fact that only over the past few years has the AR 15 become the weapon of choice. It is easy to understand the policy failures by failed politicians, like JD Vance, that lead to this. Understanding how to address school shootings and make them far rarer is not complicated. JD Vance telling us that they are a fact of life is wrong. Using school shootings to suggest more guns on campuses by arming teachers or at colleges by allowing students to carry is wrong. School shootings should never happen and if any elected person is serious about stopping them, lets focus on facts and let's focus on the right solutions.

Exciting news in the education sector! 📚👇 Schools in England are moving towards prohibiting the use of mobile phones during the school day to enhance focus, reduce distractions and address issues like online bullying. The Department of Education has released guidance recommending a ban on mobile phone use in schools, aligning England with countries liek France, Italy and Portugal. The guidance allows schools to choose how to implement the ban, such as keeping phones locked away or handing them in upon arrival. The aim is the create a conducive learning environment by minimising disruptions and improving student behaviour. What are your thoughts on this trend? Some people, driven by fear, demand even stricter government measures, meanwhile, another group distrusts the state, fearing it will turn authoritarian. This creates a divide, with two opposing groups emerging. As tensions rise, an anti-government faction forms, setting the stage for protests and demonstrations. What started as a peaceful democratic society now begins to shift towards totalitarianism.
