Cyclopentasiloxane (and) Dimethicone/Vinyldimethicone Crosspolymer [INCI/CTFA] This product is a blend of high molecular weight silicone elastomer and cyclic siloxane. It is a translucent silicone elastomer gel. The nature of its gel determines that this product cannot really dissolve in anything. In the oil phase, it can only exist in a stably dispersed form; as a thickener, this product can be used in various cosmetic formulas such as water/oil emulsion, water/silicone oil emulsion, oil/water emulsion and anhydrous products to reduce the formulation system tackiness for a dry, non-greasy skin feel.
