ProWein 2025 opens for stall reservations Registration of exhibitors for ProWein 2025 (16-18 March) in Düsseldorf, Germany will remain open until 30 June this year, and hall space will be allocated in September. Next year’s trade show will take a more “compact” approach structurally, according to Peter Schmitz, Director of ProWein. ProSpirits will return in 2025 after making its debut this year. The 2024 edition of ProWein (10-12 March) welcomed around 4,000 fewer visitors than in 2023. A total of 45,082 out of the 47,000 registered visitors were in attendance. The show offered 5,289 exhibitors, with 703 of these from Germany. The remaining 4,586 were international brands, with 65 countries in total represented (including Germany). The top visitor countries were the Netherlands (12%), Belgium (6%), Italy (6%), the UK (5%), France (5%) and the US (4% ). #drinksindustry #prowein #tradeshow

Reflecting on an Enlightening Experience at ProWein 2024 🍷 This past week, I had the privilege of attending ProWein 2024 in Dusseldorf, and what an experience it was! From exploring innovative trends to reconnecting with industry peers, it was an eventful journey filled with valuable insights. Having last attended ProWein before the pandemic, the contrast was noticeable. While the number of exhibitors was still plentiful, there was a noticeable decrease in attendance. This provided ample space to move around and little to no wait to speak with exhibitors. One aspect that struck me was the diverse approaches taken by exhibitors to capture visitors' attention. From elaborate displays to creative marketing strategies, it was fascinating to see the ingenuity on display. However, I couldn't help but notice that exhibitors with limited budgets faced challenges in standing out. Cost was another prominent theme of discussion. Participating in ProWein has become increasingly expensive, not just in terms of event fees but also travel and accommodation costs. Many attendees had to make compromises to manage these expenses, with some even shortening their stay. Some skipped ProWein altogether in lieu of alternative events that provided greater value. Speaking of alternatives, there was a buzz surrounding Wine Paris, touted for providing greater value and for the location being more convenient and affordable. It's clear that the landscape of industry gatherings is evolving, and it's crucial to explore all options. As I reflect on my time at ProWein 2024, I'm undecided about my attendance next year. However, I'm eager to explore the offerings of Wine Paris 2025 and see firsthand if it lives up to the hype.
