We own and operate 25 storage facilities across the country. Operating at this scale has its benefits and challenges. ❌ We constantly have items in need repair or replacement across our portfolio. ✅ We can afford to hire a full-time maintenance coordinator. ❌ We are dealing with theft and break-ins nearly every week. ✅ We can afford to invest in portfolio-wide security monitoring solutions to become more proactive about stopping theft. ❌ We have hundreds of different unit SKUs across different properties that need to have their rates constantly re-priced. ✅ We can afford to invest in building our own data-driven workflows to help us automatically re-price units, determine rent increases on existing customers, etc. ❌ We have thousands of customers that call us to make payments or ask questions. ✅ We can afford to staff our own in-house call center to service customers in a high quality manner. -- Managing 25 facilities with proper resources is MUCH easier than trying to manage 2-3 without staff, systems, software etc. Scale = more problems, but more money to solve them.

😎I am a L1 - L2 IT Field Engineer for a client of the company I work for, and I heard something that made feel like the message hasn't spread across properly, or maybe the person whom this comment came from is just reluctant to change his perception about the IT support currently offered...here it goes: 👇 🛎️I received a ticket, checked the issue, decided to verify it personally onsite, and organized everything to fix the issue the same day. When I got to the caller, I fixed the issue, took just over 5 minutes to fix it, however, I couldn't resist and asked "how long have you been dealing with this issue for" and the end user answered "6 months, there abouts"...I looked him in the eye and asked him: why did you raise the ticket just until today? Why not before?...and here the words that pulled my strings: naaah, I just gave up on IT. 😯 Please, IT boys and girls: if you hate working in any type of IT environments where you have to use your face or voice to deal with frustrated and almost out of control end users, find another job, something miles away from IT, you are not made for customer service! Stop screwing up on IT companies, IT people, and IT "roles". It is stupidly hard to make end users and companies to change their perspective towards IT Support Technicians!
