Digitally-enabled chatbots were built to make quality #SRH counseling more accessible. But are they effective? PSI's Kristen Little and a consortium of partners including PSI, FHI 360, and EVIHDAF, with support of the Côte d’Ivoire Ministry of Health collected consumer insights to test the effectiveness of a #familyplanning chatbot in Côte d’Ivoire as part of the USAID funded Research for Scalable Solutions (R4S) program focused on improving the efficiency and equity of family planning programs in Africa and Asia. With this research, we know that chatbots may be effective in sharing family planning information with users in West Africa, especially young women in urban populations.
