🎨✨ The redesign of Beauty Club Istanbul's visual identity goes beyond aesthetics, redefining its connection with the audience.
The new branding introduces a stronger visual identity with an elegant, feminine icon, enhances brand storytelling by reflecting beauty and empowerment, and boosts brand recognition through distinctive elements. It attracts a premium, style-conscious audience and positions the brand for future growth with a modern, versatile design.
In summary, it’s a transformation that builds trust, aligns with the brand's values, and creates a lasting impression.
This week, Switzerland Travel Centre underwent a rebranding and announced it on their social media platforms. In my opinion, the rebranding is unsuccessful. 😬
Firstly, the words "Switzerland Travel Centre," written in a "chipped" font, are difficult to read. 👎 On printed materials, this font will create discomfort for people with poor eyesight or those over the age of 45. Readability in branding is the number one criterion for evaluating a logo.
Secondly, the color palette. The chosen colors for the graphic elements are more reminiscent of mango and strawberry ice cream. 😅 These are the colors we often see in the food industry on store shelves. But how are these colors connected to Switzerland Travel Centre? Personally, I see no direct association. 🤷♀️ Colors that better reflect the experience of traveling through the country would be more appropriate here—vivid green (the color of the hills), blue (the color of the lakes), and other natural tones that emphasize the unique beauty of our beloved country.
Finally, the purity of the colors. They can either be clean or appear muddy on a white background, especially on smaller items like social media icons. In this case, when these colors overlap and form red at the intersections, the boundaries are unclear, blurred, and seem dirty. 👎 This happens when the contrast between the colors is insufficient, or when the colors themselves are not pure but complex.
As a result, the logo gives an impression of sloppiness, which contradicts Swiss authenticity. I hope that the next logo will better align with both the name and the fundamental principles of brand identity. 😊

On day 15 we ponder how do businesses stay relevant day in day out? Some businesses are still waxing strong with over a century in their given industry, others are non-existent.
Building a good brand identity and winning over customers is the major difference between waxing strong and non-existent. This requires consistency in branding. It involves keeping your brand, colors, typography, messaging, and general visual style consistent and connected throughout your whole organization.
Maintaining a consistent brand image and messaging helps consumers identify and recall your business with greater ease. Additionally, it contributes to the establishment of competence and dependability, both of which can boost consumer retention and brand loyalty.
Establishing brand rules that describe your brand elements and how they should be used is essential to maintaining consistency in your branding. To make sure your branding stays current and appeals to your target audience , it's also critical to evaluate and update it on a regular basis.
All things considered, maintaining consistency in your branding is essential to developing a solid and long-lasting brand that sticks out in a competitive market and forges long-term relationships with clients.

TIP 3,021: Choosing a Brand to Work With
When selecting a brand to collaborate with, look for one that not only invests in client care but also actively invests in their own growth and excellence. If they’re willing to go the extra mile for their brand, just imagine the dedication they’ll bring to serving you as a client!
Naming is by far the hardest part of branding, because it's so subjective. Our psychological associations between words and ideas are unique to the individual. One person's seal of approval is another's veto.
"With a name, we're trying to envision the future – the future associations, the future experience and therefore the future value, which is really difficult."
With insights from Matter Of Form Strategy Director James Lees, who has masterminded many names in his time, we unpick the art of turning mere words into brand worlds – from the nuances of nomenclature to the stories behind luxury favourites, culminating in actionable takeaways for those in need of a name. A logo is more than just a design; it's the heartbeat of an event. Over the years, we've witnessed the evolution of Olympic logos, each representing a unique era and capturing the spirit of its host city.
The Paris 2024 logo is a perfect example of how a powerful visual identity can elevate an event. It's not just a logo; it's a promise of a spectacular celebration of sports, culture, and innovation.
Which logo was your favourite?
