This new larger format piece (660 x 510mm) is titled “Coexistence”, it invites viewers to consider the ways human food production systems in the Huon Valley of Tasmania, exist within, and are permeated by a much larger circle of natural ecosystems. The longer-term health and sustainability of food production systems are integrally linked and wholly dependant upon the maintenance and ongoing regennarration of healthy, sustainable, natural ecosystems. “Coexistence” prompts viewers, through presenting a series of different lenses or points-of-view, to reconsider their understanding of how these human food production systems (which we all derive benefit from), could move towards stewardship practices which are more regenerative of these delicate, natural ecosystems, rather than only being an extractive force within the wider natural cycles of energy, water and soil resources, thereby supporting the sustainability of the Huon Valley’s beautiful, natural wealth of biodiversity. #regenerativeagriculture #farsouthtasmania #BiodiversityConservation #natureart
