🚨 Pipe Tek and TFG to the rescue 🚨 In collaboration with TFG Group Pty Ltd, Pipe Tek has the capabilities to mobilise and respond to emergency pipeline integrity issues across the country, fast-tracking the restoration of transmission, as well as minimising the economic impact of a disruption to operations. First, we work together on assessment and containment, which involves a thorough evaluation of the damage and immediate closure of the affected asset to prevent further leakage and environmental damage. The next step is repair and replacement, where the Pipe Tek and TFG teams focus on repairing affected sections of the pipeline and replacing any irreparably damaged components. ⚓️To strengthen the position of the Freeport of Ventspils Authority in the transshipment of bulk cargo and chemical cargo, the restoration of berth No. 35a has now been finished. ➡️Being the closest deep-water dock to the shore reservoirs located on the Northern pier, berth No. 35a is crucial to the processing of the ordinary cargo nomenclature, hence it must adhere to the strictest guidelines for hydro structure construction. ✅Two new ship mooring piers have been built as part of the reconstruction works, and they will improve safety and meet the requirements of modern cargo handling. ➡️Renārs Pūce, representative of the berth’s lessee Co., Ltd. “VK Terminal Services”: “In addition to the technological possibilities currently available on berth no. 35a, which allows for the processing of light oil products and petrochemicals (including methanol), it will now also be possible to perform ship-to-ship transshipment operations in an environmentally friendly manner. In the Asia Pacific region alone, a few new pipelay vessels are waiting to capture any 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐩𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭, especially the highly capable ZPMC UK LTD #JSD6000🚢 S- and J-lay vessel and Shanghai Salvage Bureau COES Caledonia (UK) Limited #Shenda🚢 (深达号) Flex—and 𝐑𝐞𝐞𝐥-𝐋𝐚𝐲 𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐥. Considering the potential benefits, the cost of refurbishing the "𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨" vessel is relatively small compared to the backlog pipeline market with the 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭. Day Rates are Clearly Improving… The Transocean Deepwater Åsgard wins contract extensions in the Gulf of Mexico. Hess Corporation have agreed to approximately one year or 365 Days (as quoted, don’t know why they say that, we know what a year is) extension to the Drillships existing contract. A nice $188 million in backlog, including additional services will keep the unit working in GOM until June 2026 in a continous movement from its existing deal. The previous contract extension on Deepwater Asgard drillship was quoted in April 2024 for day rate of $505/Day. Transocean clearly in control of its finances and as we have seen the juggernaut thin out some of its fleet it’s clearly looking to keep in the biggest game in town which continues to be Deepwater.
