Is Sephora Putting The Fun Back In Beauty Buying? 💝 🛍 Sephora closed its UK stores back in 2005 but now they’ve returned and are changing the way women experience the make-up and cosmetics counter. It's fair to say that, despite running a cosmetics business, I’m a beauty industry rebel. As a believer in natural beauty and someone who sells solely vegan-friendly cosmetics, I can’t get on board with companies like Sephora who take a mixed approach to ethical standards. Which tells me they don’t have any - unless you do. 🤫 BUT - I love the way their stores are designed. There’s an openness and a hands-off approach from staff that encourages women to explore the various skincare, make-up and at-home spa treatments with no pressure to purchase. With their bright colours, on-trend music and fun approach, Sephora's shops are creating a place for women to come together and make their beauty routine fun - starting at purchase. 💄💅 It’s very different from the traditional cosmetic counters where assistants wear white jackets and a full face of make-up seemingly applied with a pallet knife.
