Here at Honest Hounds we are passionate about muzzles! We have seen time and time again that the muzzle can be a brilliant tool to keep dogs safe, give owners confidence and allow them to get out in the world together.
Social media can be a mean place and muzzles sadly still get a lot of negative association and we want to change that! We are launching a brand new campaign to change the narrative and help people to see what a brilliant tool they can be while sharing all the awesome things our muzzled dogs CAN do!
WHAT IS IT?
A monthly challenge, running from the first to the last day of each month. We will be challenging you to tag us in a post where you showcase something your dog can do with their muzzle on! Maybe it’s getting them out for a walk, taking them to the vets with confidence or even just giving them a cuddle and both of you feeling safe like the photo here! The muzzle can be a great tool to help make our world bigger with our dog and we want to inspire other people to see the benefits!
HOW CAN I ENTER?
Snap a picture, tag @honesthounds and use the caption #mymuzzleddogcan on a grid post or a reel.
Why not tell us a little about your dog, explain how the muzzle helps you, share your journey and inspire others to do the same. If you know the type of muzzle you use that can be great to share too! Share and tag as much as you want - let’s make it a hashtag people see far and wide!
WHAT CAN I WIN?
We think the chance to change the narrative of muzzles across social media is a pretty awesome prize for us all but we will also be keeping a list of those who tag us across all our socials (We’re on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and even LinkedIn so you’ve got lots of choice!) and each month we will pick one winner at random who will win a month of our Pack Tier and one of our custom Honest Hounds pins!
We can’t wait to see all the things you and your muzzled dog can do 🐕 🐾
Ps. If you can share this far and wide we can start to shift the perception of muzzles for everyone! 🤗

3moFORREST GUMP SAID IT BEST … “STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES”. The Nathan’s Marketing people banning Joey Chestnut from its annual July 4th hot dog eating contest because Joey signed a secondary sponsorship deal with the much less known Impossible Foods is one of the biggest marketing blunders I’ve ever seen in my 45 years in Brand Marketing. I certainly understand non-compete clauses in contracts, but Impossible Foods’ hot dogs are NOT direct competitors of Nathan’s all-beef hot dogs because Impossible’s plant-based “dogs” are simply an optional vegetarian alternative to real meat – not a substitute. Meanwhile, who will give a shit about the forthcoming Nathan’s contest without Joey Chestnut in it? The #1 and undisputed 16x heavyweight world champion of hot dog eaters. A very stupid marketing move by Nathan’s brand management and a very smart move by Impossible. 😎
