Here’s a sneak peek of our micro-AUV #Hydrus capturing data autonomously off #RottnestIsland, Western Australia. Classic techniques to capture imagery in seabeds with swirling, dynamic currents can often prove difficult. In this video, you’ll see Hydrus’ ability to successfully maintain a set underwater altitude of 1m despite the challenges of ocean currents and complex reef systems. Another great step for the #AutonomyRevolution in underwater conservation and surveying from a robot that fits in your backpack.
