Had a fantastic experience at the ‘Discover Dynamics 365’ event in Sydney, hosted by Microsoft solutions partner FUJIFILM MicroChannel. It was truly inspiring to see how #Dynamics365 is reshaping businesses across marketing, sales, service, finance, and operations. As someone passionate about data-driven process improvement, I was particularly intrigued by the potential of process mining within D365 Supply Chain Management. This innovative approach is revolutionising how we analyse and optimise processes, providing deeper insights into operational efficiency. I was also excited to learn how #Microsoft #Copilot is enhancing Supply Chain Management and other modules. By leveraging AI-driven insights, Copilot is reshaping supply chain processes across Design, Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, and Operate phases, enabling businesses to streamline operations and make more informed decisions. A big thank you to the FUJIFILM MicroChannel team and everyone who contributed to making the event such a success.

The recent global IT outage, which disrupted flights, media outlets, hospitals, and businesses worldwide, starkly illustrates the fragility of our digital infrastructure and the critical importance of comprehensive Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). As an IT Business Analyst, I've been reflecting on how this incident underscores some key aspects of information security best practices: - Risk Management: Systematically identifying and evaluating potential threats, including those from trusted vendors. Defining risk acceptance criteria and investing in risk treatments. - Business Continuity Plans (BCP): Developing and implementing plans to ensure that critical operations can continue during disruptions. Regular testing and updates of these plans are vital to preparedness. - Incident Management: Establishing clear procedures for responding to and recovering from security incidents. Swift action to isolate and remediate the issue is essential to mitigate impact and restore services. - Operational Planning and Control: Implementing robust processes for system updates and change management. - Supplier Relationships: Carefully vetting and monitoring third-party service providers to ensure they meet security requirements. This incident serves as a reminder that a robust approach to information security isn't merely about compliance but about ensuring organisational resilience.
