Completed two amazing years 🙌🙌🙌 Reflecting on my journey, I am grateful for the growth opportunities and challenges i got here. Here are 3 things I loved during my time here: 1. Embracing a growth mindset: Learning to fail early and continuously improve has been transformative. I have heard a lot about this concept before joining here but the way Microsoft implements it by providing right environment is praise worthy.Understanding that perfection is a journey, not a destination, has been key to personal growth. 2. Space for innovation: Amidst our busy schedules, Microsoft fosters an environment for innovation. Participating in hackathons has been an exciting way to explore new ideas. I have participated around 4 fhl and 2 hackathons .Proud to have won the people's choice award last year! 3. Team collaboration: Working with a supportive team has been the highlight of my experience. Each member's contribution has been invaluable, and together, we have achieved great things. 🌱 From Nervous Beginnings to New Heights: 2 Years at Microsoft 🚀 Two years ago, I walked through the doors of Microsoft with a heart full of dreams and a mind full of worries. Coming from a tier-3 college with an ECE background, I couldn’t shake the feeling of being an underdog. I questioned everything 🤷♀️ : "Am I really ready for this? Do I have what it takes to thrive here?" The first few weeks were tough—I was surrounded by brilliant minds, working on projects that felt way out of my league. But then, something amazing happened. I realized that these challenges were not roadblocks, they were opportunities in disguise. I dove into learning, asked a million questions, and slowly, the doubts started fading. I found my rhythm, discovered my strengths, and built connections that turned into lifelong friendships. The very things I feared became the stepping stones to growth. From the intense late-night study sessions in college to celebrating project milestones at Microsoft, every experience has been a valuable lesson in my journey. It’s been a journey of constant learning, overcoming self-doubt, and proving to myself that your background doesn’t define your potential—your determination does💪. My First F**kup Night Experience at Microsoft: Last night, I attended my very first F**kup Nights event at Microsoft, and what an incredible experience it was! 🌟 Hearing the candid stories of individuals who have navigated the rocky paths of failure to achieve remarkable success was nothing short of inspiring. The event was a powerful reminder that failure isn't the end; it's a crucial part of the journey towards growth and achievement. Some of the most impactful lessons I took away include: 1. Embrace Failure: Listening to the speakers, I realized that every setback is a setup for a comeback. Their stories demonstrated that failures are not roadblocks but stepping stones on the path to success. 2. Perseverance Pays Off: The determination and resilience of those who have faced significant challenges and still thrived reminded me of the importance of never giving up. It’s about pushing through the tough times and believing in your vision. 3. Lifelong Learning: The event emphasized the value of continuous learning and self-improvement. I am thrilled to share a pivotal chapter in my journey as a Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador, a role that has empowered me to spearhead initiatives at the intersection of technology, education, and community engagement. As the date of my inaugural event, slated for November 4, 2023, loomed closer, the prospect of orchestrating an impactful occasion seemed both exciting and daunting. Being my first foray into event hosting, the complexities of planning and execution were initially overwhelming. Amidst the demands of a bustling academic season, where fellow Senior Ambassadors were immersed in final year projects and academic commitments, I found solace in seeking guidance. Gratefully, my outreach to Senior Ambassadors for mentorship yielded a supportive response. Their invaluable insights and encouragement provided a foundation for a successful event. Central to my agenda was shedding light on Microsoft products often underrated in the realm of data analysis, with a specific focus on the potential of Excel. To streamline event logistics, I turned to Racheal Irabor’s YouTube channel, leveraging Microsoft Power Automate to automate messaging and streamline communication. The seamless process of sending personalized emails and reminders added a layer of efficiency to the entire event coordination. On the eagerly awaited D-Day, I was privileged to engage with an audience of attentive minds, sharing insights on Basic Data Analysis with Excel. My presentation underscored Excel's significance as a robust tool for data analysis, delving into key features that elevate its utility. The event was not only an informative session but also an opportunity to extend the clarion call to students, inviting them to join the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador Program. Before embarking on this event, I completed my Technical Onboarding, a comprehensive training that enhanced my proficiency in web development, version control using Github, and deploying solutions in the cloud with Azure. I am elated to share that on November 17, 2023, I achieved a significant milestone in my journey by attaining the status of a Beta Ambassador at the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador Program. This narrative encapsulates my evolving journey, and I share it with the hope of inspiring others to explore the vast possibilities offered by these transformative technologies.
