Thoughtful advisors know how to challenge a client while making them feel respected.

Recently, I was challenged to identify the utility of a "problem statement" regarding business. After careful thought and consideration, I concluded that a "problem statement" targets the root cause of an issue by establishing a basis for understanding where decision-making or communicational errors originated. The information gained through this process formulates a better understanding of how to identify potential liabilities in the future before facing a potential loss or financial setback in business. For example, an impactful "problem statement" immediately forces the brain to shift to introspective thoughts. Instinctually prompting the mind to scan through its innate intelligence for an optimal solution.

One of the hardest things, is knowing when to away from an opportunity and/or partners. Here's how I evaluate when to “walk away”: -      Risk to the end customer – financial, legal, accountability, and potential fraud -      Lack of creditability – market & industry expertise -      Undefined roles and responsibilities – resource allocation and when to engage -      No commitments to train & certify internal resources on core technologies, sales and marketing content – upskilling requirement & qualifying opportunities Focus on the right partners can accelerate your growth 10X. However, having the wrong partner will requiring substantial investment and potentially legal, financial, and creditability risk causing 10X losses. Evaluate partners with the deepest diligence and care. If the partner does not align with your values and requirements, you will need to walk away. PROBLEM SOLVING Definition: The process of identifying, analyzing, and finding solutions to challenges or issues. - Identification: Recognizing that a problem exists and defining its nature. - Analysis: Breaking down the problem to understand its components and causes. - Solution Development: Generating possible solutions or alternatives. - Evaluation: Assessing the feasibility, advantages, and potential impacts of each solution. - Implementation: Executing the chosen solution or plan of action. - Monitoring: Tracking the results to ensure the problem is effectively resolved. - Adjustment: Making necessary changes if the solution is not fully effective.
