Good morning LinkedIn, Sharing a personal anecdote today that made me reflect on workplace appreciation. Last night, celebrating my dad's 25th work anniversary, I questioned him as per what his employer did to Thank him for his 25 years of hard work and dedication. All he received was a mass email from HR and a link to choose a generic gift (Vegan leather purse, Kitchenaid Mixer...that sort of gift) Needless to say, he was quite disappointed. I can't even count how many family trips and events he missed for work, how many sleepless nights he's had having to solve emergencies at the plant. 25 years of dedication and often placing work before his own needs and family for a kitchen aid mixer... Companies, let's work on truly recognizing and celebrating our employees' milestones. Personalized recognition goes a long way in making employees feel valued. Do you have any similar stories to share? #EmployeeAppreciation #WorkAnniversary #Recognition #CompanyCulture

I began celebrating my 3 years with Ready Player Me last week, and I can't help but feel excited about this week because IT'S THE CELEBRATION WEEK! Fun fact: I actually have two anniversaries with RPM, but let's save that story for another time or maybe in September 🐺. I call my June 10th anniversary "Banana Shirt Day." Why? Well, it all started when I had my first call with Haver and Kaspar to discuss a partnership. As soon as I joined the call, I heard Kaspar jokingly ask Haver, "What kind of banana shirt are you wearing?" The rest is history. This playful vibe, combined with smart, caring people hungry to make an impact, perfectly captures the environment here. Spoiler alert: Haver confirmed there were no bananas on the shirt 🍌😂. One thing that is part of our celebrations is my homemade potato salad 🥔. It's a tradition I can't quite pinpoint when it started, but the team seems to love it. My love for the team and making potato salad makes the hours of chopping worth it, and it's unreal how fast it disappears. Some may even say, "Next time, we need more." During this year's WinterWeek, I chopped and prepared 12kg of it, and with Summerfest around the corner, you will still have time to enjoy this tradition 😉. We're growing the team, so check out our careers page (link in the comments). How do you celebrate your work anniversaries? And what's with potato salad 😄? Everyone in Estonia seems to have their own recipe!

People can't do their best work if they don't feel valued by their colleagues and company. Celebrate life's moments—big and small—with your team. Weddings, babies, anniversaries, and new pets and homes bring people together outside of work, and they can do the same within the organisation, whether you're in person or not. #EmployeeEngagement #CompanyCulture #TeamCelebrations #WorkplaceCommunity #ValuedEmployees #WorkLifeBalance #EmployeeRecognition #RemoteWorkCulture #BuildingConnections

HERE’S HOW TO SHOW EMPLOYEES YOU APPRECIATE THEM *MONTHLY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS- It can be super simple and right in your break room. Taking 20 minutes out of the day to recognize the people you work with on their birthday makes them feel appreciated and valued! * COMPANY GATHERINGS - We do one for Halloween , we also have a pitch in Thanksgiving lunch, Christmas. If everyone gets to know each other at an event – big or small – they will feel more empowered in their work because they will know who they are working with. Plus, everyone will feel the appreciation from the company because management just spent time and energy on getting their employees together! * THE SIMPLE “THANK-YOU”- So, show the people you work with that you appreciate their team effort by saying thank you. It is a simple solution if people feel undervalued – just remind them that what they do for the company matters, and you are grateful for it! We are going to strive to do this better ourselves, we also believe it will increase our customer care for our clients.

Celebrating my 4 Year Anniversary with him today🥹❤️ Here’s what my relationship has taught me👇 ❤️🔥Being committed to show up and do the work even when it feels really hard. ❤️🔥Fully accepting each other in our differences and seeing them as contributions to our relationship rather than a reason to push us apart. ❤️🔥The importance of checking in every week and asking one another “Are your needs being met?”. ❤️🔥Date night every week without our phones to strengthen our intimacy. ❤️🔥The importance of taking personal accountability and filling our own cups so that we can show up better versions of ourselves. ❤️🔥Serving each other in ways that we value being served and not how we prefer to serve (you get plenty of massages😂). ❤️🔥Dancing around the house and being extra silly as we sing our made up songs that nobody will ever understand. ❤️🔥Seeing the relationship as a team where we both get to bring our own strengths rather than compete with one another. ❤️🔥Seeing conflict as an opportunity to deepen our awareness and have a resolution mindset rather than victimize ourselves. ❤️🔥Connection doesn’t actually have to fade overtime, but it can deepen as we continue to show up everyday. ❤️🔥Our relationship always remains the #1 priority even when when life happens. ❤️🔥Love is the greatest form of success and everything else is just a cherry on top. Healthy love is possible when you choose to make it possible by doing what is required to show up at your best and put in the effort. Did any of these resonate with you?

🕑 As I mark two years at THIRTY4/7 Communications, I was asked to give my thoughts on how planning and politics has changed in that time: 🗳 'Since I started at T47, the political landscape has changed significantly. We have had three UK prime ministers, two monarchs, two first ministers of Wales and Scotland respectively, Welsh local elections, and two (nearing three) sets of English local elections. And if that weren’t enough, we are months away from a general election which might lead to a change of government for the first time since 2010. 🏗 The election will take place with both major parties having swapped positions on planning and development. Previously, under Boris Johnson’s government, the Conservatives placed growth at the heart of their economic agenda, pledging to ‘Level Up’ the nations and regions with investment and infrastructure. Johnson himself also championed the need to ‘build better and build greener but…also build faster’. In response, Keir Starmer’s Labour Party then warned voters that ‘The Conservatives’ developers’ charter would sell off and sell out our communities.’, in an appeal to those concerned at the prospect of overdevelopment. 🏡 Come 2024, and the position of both parties has reversed. Rishi Sunak has sounded a more cautious note around development, notably ditching national housing targets and watering down net zero legislation. Keir Starmer, on the other hand, has placed economic growth at the heart of his programme for government, with commitments on undertaking planning reform, achieving 100% clean power by 2030, and delivering 1.5 million new homes across the next Parliament. Starmer even recently acknowledged that Johnson’s policy had ‘struck a chord’ with voters, conceding that ‘Levelling-up is a good ambition for Britain’ and committing to delivering the policy in its totality. 🗣 Politics, after all, is driven by competing coalitions of voters and certain fluidity is to be expected, though with Labour anticipated to form the next government, perhaps there is growing evidence that voters wish to see growth and development at the forefront of the policy debate.' #politics #policy #development #Keir #Starmer #Boris #Johnson #Rishi #Sunak #Labour #Conservatives #communications
