When I teach #ITIL4Foundation to veterans making a career move into #IT, when we get to the list of #ServiceDesk soft skills; I share a story about coming home from a hard day serving customers at work; being mad at my wife, daughter, cat, and the dog. It was then I had a life-changing revelation, ‘Why am I nice all day to those I don’t love at work then take it out on those I do love at home?’ Then I suggest to students, that the #CutomerService #softskills we are discussing are #lifeskills.
