At PIN, we know it is essential to talk locally about our work, whether abroad in our country programmes or at home in the Czech Republic. Interacting with others and reflecting on what they say is critical to preventing groupthink or applying inappropriate solutions to problems. With this in mind, our colleagues Ivan Dzido and Simon Trantina went to #VelkeLosiny to speak to an audience of people aged 70+ about #humanitarian and #development aid, water scarcity in the world, and our #SocialWork at home. The insight, interest, and critical perspective that the audience provided was palpable in every question and response. This visit reinvigorated our belief that we must embrace multiple perspectives: to keep up with the times, we listen to young people; to hear if we still have our feet on the ground; we listen to older people—everyone has something of value to say. Thanks to Mr. Pavel Holubar for inviting us to "Senzion", a centre for older citizens who want an active retirement. If you are passing Velké Losiny, why not visit our "Journey to Water" exhibition.
