"Adequate Protein Level in Midlife Tied to Health Aging". I saw this article in Medscape and immediately thought that it's a great headline, but is it misleading? I suspect that higher protein intake is a result of higher income and better education, which will affect the subject's overall approach to healthcare. So maybe raising protein intake is not, in itself, sufficient. The study also differentiates between plant and animal sources of protein, but again I suspect confounding factors. I'm no expert on nutrition, so I'd welcome feedback (no pun intended!). Here's a link to the article: www.apmcpd.co.uk/protein
