What is a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)? 🖊️ I'm not sure if it's the rise of startups, but I've been getting this question regularly lately. 🤔 NDA is the necessity of every startup as it is the first line of defense when dealing with clients, investors, or employees. Its purpose is to protect your startup's confidential information including ideas, know-how and intellectual property as well. 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞, in the past, a situation often occurred where the recipient of confidential information, after seeing your code, created a program with the same purpose. NDA contracts have proven to be a fairly effective model for the protection of this kind of data, if they are adequately drafted and if they prescribe sufficiently high liquidated damages for their violation.
