Good opportunities for medical students and pediatric residents are interesting in Dermatology Research

These days I’ve just finished the third edition of my neuroanatomy book, Basics Neuroanatomie that will be available in book stores this November. It has been a rewarding journey refining this resource, and I look forward to it continuing to serve as a valuable tool for both students and professionals. While my focus has shifted from neuoanatomy and neuo-immunology to dermatology, neuronal activites are also a crucial component in the pathophysiology of dermatological conditions like atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. These connections are particularly important as we look at the underlying causes of itch, a significant symptom for many patients. With August being Psoriasis Awareness Month, it's an ideal time to emphasize the importance of understanding and addressing the neuro-dermatological aspects of these conditions such as the persistent challenge of itch. #Neuroanatomy #PsoriasisAwarenessMonth #Dermatology #Neuroimmunology #ItchRelief #MedicalEducation

Today, UCB received marketing authorization from the European Commission for BIMZELX (bimekizumab) for adults with moderate to severe hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). BIMZELX is now the first dual IL-17A and IL-17F inhibitor approved for HS.   This approval marks the fourth indication within the EU for BIMZELX and is supported by data from two Phase 3 studies, BE HEARD I and BE HEARD II.
