Why did we choose remote first? No one should be surprised to learn that the past few years have validated our work preferences. Now, about one-third (35%) of U.S. workers with jobs that can be done remotely work from home all the time*. Companies are wondering what to do. Should they keep things online or come back to physical locations? At Peakforce, we take the perspective of a remote-first company. That means that we're fully oriented toward the online world. We don't have a shared workspace or office, and every employee communicates using technologies like Slack, Google Meet, or Notion. Is remote-first for everyone? Of course not 🙂 The company can struggle with proper information flow and effective setup. Without physical contact with colleagues, a team may feel isolated and excluded. What's more, assigning and reviewing tasks requires trust from employees. Not everyone is willing to do this. However, there are a number of advantages to working remotely. We wrote a blog article about the benefits and our tips for productive remote work. Check the link in the comments and let us know what you think about working remotely? Do you see it as a great value or an inconvenient reality? We’d love to hear from you 🙂 #remote #remotework #flexiblework #digitalnomads #futureofwork * About a third of U.S. workers who can work from home now do so all the time - article by Pew Research Center

🧠 Remote workers should be paid less? Think again! 🧠 I recently saw someone claim that because we work remotely, we should earn less. But here's the reality: remote work is redefining what productivity looks like– and it's anything but less valuable! Here's why: 🌍 No boundaries– We're not tied to office hours; we're connected globally, often putting in more time and effort to deliver on deadlines. 💻 Always on– From early morning emails to late-night projects, remote workers are always online, ensuring everything runs smoothly. 🎯Results over presence – It's not about sitting at a desk for 8 hours; it's about driving results. Remote work lets us focus on what matters: outcomes. The future of work is based on skills and value, not location. So if you're showing up and delivering – no matter where you are – your contributions deserve to be recognized, not minimized. Let’s shift the narrative: Remote work doesn’t mean “doing less,” it means doing more on our own terms.💪 #RemoteWorkRevolution #ValueOverLocation #ProductivityUnleashed #WorkFromAnywhere #FutureOfWork

Recently, I read two different news articles about remote work. While both articles told me that recent data shows remote work is here to stay, the rest of those two articles were riddled with misconceptions. One of them even quoted a Stanford professor known as the “Work From Home Guy”. So, I wrote an article called "The Truth About Remote Work: Beyond Degrees and Office Hours" to challenge those 2 myths: • The link between college degrees and remote work eligibility • The notion that remote workers put in fewer hours My article dives into: ✅ Why remote work is about job type, not education level ✅ How remote workers often clock more hours, just differently ✅ The importance of distinguishing "work from home" from "work from anywhere" (which is the definition of remote work) Let’s recognize that remote work is not just about working from home—it’s about flexibility, productivity, and working beyond the traditional 9-to-5. Click the URL in the comment to read the full article. What’s been your biggest surprise about remote work? Whether positive or negative, what’s something you didn’t expect when transitioning to or working remotely? #remotework #hybridwork #workfromanywhere #futureofwork

Consultant I Sustainable and Circular brands - Branding I Social Media I Strategy I Consumer Insights
The future is #remote. This week I volunteered for Running Remote, where I gained valuable insights. Here are my key takeaways: 1. Remote work is increasingly essential as our lives change and evolve. We are placing greater value on aspects such as home, relationships, and personal growth. 2. When people work remotely, they inevitably have household chores and responsibilities. It's imperative for companies to accommodate these needs and demonstrate more care. 3.Establishing a conducive work environment at home is crucial for driving productivity. Integration of tools, systems, and AI is essential for the success of remote work. Finallyy, I thrive and have seen people thrive in physical connections. So, I advocate for teams to meet in person at least once every three months, as it fosters innovation and presents significant business opportunities. Special thanks to Terra Milo for the recommendation and to J Mendes for the opportunity. What are your key takeaways? Do you also believe that the future lies in remote work?

Working remotely has become increasingly common in recent years, but it's not without its challenges. Here are a few challenges that remote workers face: * Isolation: Remote workers may find themselves feeling isolated from coworkers and the office environment. It can be difficult to build relationships and maintain a sense of connection when you're not physically in the same space as your colleagues. * Distractions: When you work from home, it can be tempting to take breaks or get distracted by household tasks. It's important to create a dedicated workspace and establish boundaries between work and personal time. * Time management: With flexible work hours, it can be difficult to stay focused and productive. Remote workers need to be disciplined and create a schedule that works for them. * Communication: Remote work can make it more difficult to communicate with colleagues and managers. It's important to establish clear lines of communication, whether through email, video conferencing, or messaging apps. * Professional development: Remote workers may miss out on opportunities for networking, mentorship, and training that are more readily available in a traditional office environment. They need to be proactive in seeking out professional development opportunities and building their network. N/B: This is not a discouragement post, with consistent efforts and determination, you can overcome the challenges❤️ #virtualassistance #virtualassistantlife #remotejobs2024 #digitalnomadlifestyle #appointmentsetter

Unpopular opinion: Most people aren't able to work remotely. That's why employers are calling you back. It has nothing to do with inflexible management, existing investments into offices, or being controlling. It's the employees themselves. To work from home requires: - problem-solving skills - independent drive - self-management - autonomy People can't manage their time, health, or quality of work on their own. The questions most people ask about remote work show that they still require supervision. Those range from the basics of a technical setup to self-discipline and best practices in distributed teams. All of that takes a few hours of online research. There are companies that have been working 100% remotely for the past 20 years. They figured it out, they wrote about it. Go read rework and remote by 37signals. If you have to ask for help and aren't able to figure it out with the resources you have available, you are signaling that you aren't ready for remote work yet. This has nothing to do with age, skills, or socialization but everything to do with having a growth mindset and being ok with discomfort. If you have to ask for it, you aren't ready. #remote #wfh

🌟 Seven years ago, when I already had a company with fully remote employees, remote work was something out of the ordinary. 💼 Adjusting to this concept and seeing its potential, I confidently invested in remote work, despite traditional office structures prevailing at the time. Starting with a small number of remote workers, my company gradually grew, attracting attention with our innovative approach to work organization. 🚀 We realized the numerous benefits remote work offers for both employees and businesses alike. Flexibility in schedules, the freedom from the constraints of physical presence in an office, and the ability to hire talent from anywhere in the world made remote work highly appealing. Today, several years later, there has been a significant shift towards remote work. 🌍 It's no longer seen as eccentric but has become a widely accepted practice in many companies worldwide. Even large corporations, once adhering to conservative approaches, are actively embracing remote work models, recognizing its advantages. 📈 Undoubtedly, remote work will continue to evolve and transform in the future. Technologies are becoming more accessible, facilitating more effective collaboration over distances. Companies will strive to leverage all the opportunities remote work provides to attract and retain talented professionals. 💻 #RemoteWork #FutureOfWork #Innovation #StayConnected

Is Remote Work really better than Work from Office? The debate between remote and office-based work has been a subject of much discussion. Many traditional companies are skeptical about remote work. They fear it because they do not fully trust their employees. This is a harsh but real situation. However, research from the University of Chicago indicates that remote work productivity is over 7% higher than in-office productivity. Despite this, many companies remain resistant to change. Remote work is not just a benefit anymore – it is the new normal to acquire talent without geographic limitations. And companies should accept it. Remote work offers so many benefits and increased productivity. - Work from anywhere. - Access to global talent. - Increased job satisfaction. - Greater autonomy and flexibility. - Performance measured by results. - Less stress and more healthy activities. - Lower commuting and office expenses. - Better personal and professional balance. - More opportunities for people with disabilities. - Ability to work during individual productive times. With these benefits, I don’t think the employees will want to return back to offices full-time anytime soon. What do you think about this? #remotework #remotejobs #wfh
